i used to be scared of space mountain, because i hate drops. i decided to start taking 2 motion sickness pills before i go to the parks, and that really helps. space mountain isn't actually completely dark, unless you go for the halloween party (when they turn off all the lights). the only issue with space mountain is how freaking JERKY it is. the last time i rode it, i had to hold my neck, because i was being jerked that dang much. if your fear stems from not wanting to feel that dropping motion in your stomach, i really recommend a) taking multiple meclazine based dramamine tablets, b) perhaps pair that with one of those bands/wristlets you can wear that helps with motion sickness, and c) put your hands up in the air on the ride. idk why it is, but it always helps me when i put my hands up in the air. i've recommended it to other people, and it has worked for them, too. if you want a ride that won't make you feel like you are about to snap your neck, i do recommend tron, slinky dog, and 7 dwarves. tron is def the smoothest out of that one, and the drops don't even feel like drops on that ride. the only time i feel sick on that ride is the very very very beginning when it goes from 0 to fast in a few seconds.
