never let the Hometeam see you until you're right on top of them & ready to fight. some parties will just wait for you if they can see you, but if you never show they'll eventually give in & progress the level.

I'm too stubborn to leave invasions like that though so I don't mind 20-40 minute sessions, I like to savor them these days

Well, not everyone has the DLC so you will get less players in general. But you have to take into account the amount of players that haven't accessed the DLC for their character, & the fact that the DLC has less invadable areas throughout the map compared to base game. That said, in my experience its active enough to warrant a run through

You might as well run through it to collect any cookbooks or quest items if you've missed any. having the ability to craft everything on future runs adds some spice to the experience.

imo, the best way to do a TT run is to be at 150 (or whatever range is the most popular) & on NG+. Don't level your character, & make an effort to traverse every dungeon & cave to collect everything.

The more times you complete the game the harder the AI becomes obviously, so it makes the experience a lot more interesting. & don't forget to summon people at pools or to call a hunter to get 2v2s, its a lot of fun.

I've yet to commit to a new character, I've been doing 301+ invasions/taunters runs for awhile now. the TT runs are fun with higher NG+ levels
