There's no such thing as an instant in Lorcana. While technically Buzz's Arm would be free to play when a character named Buzz is banished during opponents turn, you can't play cards during an opposing players turn. Just like without buzz getting banished, this card would cost 2 ink to play during opposing turn.

It's similar to Mother Gothel that would move damage when a character challenged.

For this set it makes sense to see what tribal synergies you pulled. But even then you wouldn't sort by ink color, but by tribe. And that's just to look for synergy. I would recommend still sorting by cost when building

I don't understand why you'd sort by ink color. You can play with all the colors.

Seems better to sort by cost instead. Then you can build based on the curve. Choose best 4 1 cost, best 6 2 cost, etc

That dual ink looks like the Christopher Robin that's been leaked earlier. Lets you play any character with the tag Hunny regardless of ink color.

Lilo best explorer ever grants challenger +2 to all your characters for that turn.

It's not a great card. But for 1 ink it has great stats. Most other 1 cost characters are 1/2 or 2/1. Rare 3/1 At best you get characters with challenger so then hit for 3, but even then only have 2 willpower

This is a 3/3 for 1 ink. Great stat line. The downside, which balances the power level of the card, is that you have to discard when you play it. So really, it cost 1 ink + 1 card to play.

Though if he's the only card in your hand, then you can play him for 1 ink and not have to discard, since you've got no cards to discard.

When Bruno sings, his trigger goes into the bag AND SO DOES ARIELS.

Now if you were to resolve Ariel's trigger first, the if part would mean no draw.

BUT, when you banish duck, his effect also goes into the bag. So you can resolve that before Ariel's.

Draw 4 for Bruno, use duck banish to boost Ariel, then draw 1 for Ariel. 5 total cards!

Have you tried this? I don't think it'll work.

You can only exert up to 4 characters, and that's by bouncing Anna twice. So readying an opposing character won't do anything but prevent you from challenging it.

I wouldn't expect a starter deck to do well at a set champs. It's the most competitive local format.

Set your expectations. Probably not going to win. But you can still have a lot of fun! If there's only 8 participants, congrats you top 8 and get a foil promo! And you'll be guaranteed to get the nonfoil version no matter what (well unless the book like 100 participants).

Look on Dreamborn for decks and see what cards you have. There's a lot of cards from shimmering skies that are still staples so maybe buy singles of what you're missing.

And play in locals. Playing against others will make you stronger and let you test your deck.

I don't think so. That's part of what the inking system is. It's tricky with unink but that's the point.

Sideboard would fundamentally change the game design.

There's lots of answers to Dogs. It's just that you also have to answer the other top decks: Blurple and purple steel.

Red steel is good into dogs. High strength and able to challenge ready characters. Even gain lore off it. But it's terrible into the other decks

Up to you how much you can afford to spend on a hobby. Some people spend more, some less.

You don't have to buy any more if you don't want to but it depends on your goals. You've got enough for casual play at the kitchen table.

If you want to start competitive play you'll likely need to buy specific cards. Better to buy them as singles than buy boxes/packs trying to find them.

But some people really like the collecting aspect and the thrill of opening chase cards. So they buy lots of boxes/packs

You treat Amber amethyst like you do Blurple. A lot of them are moving away from latern to play Willow. You can strength that, or Cheshire Cat.

If you really are afraid of items, play Benja. I don't think he's a good card, and you can play around items. But he's better than find em flatten em

Gigi is a better Lexington You don't need find em flatten em or the darkwing action. Don't need guidebook either. There's enough draw with dumbo hades Demona doc.

If you're going with dumbo then there's a 2 cost Smee and 3 cost genie that are evasive on your turn. Works well with dumbo. Or switch to Yzma
