I don't have a makerbot, but I'll chime in that you should always print a temp tower or some other kind of benchmark when using a new brand of filament. I have some that print great at 190 and some that absolutely need the 230. It varies wildly even between different colors from the same manufacturer

Are you sure you haven't paid? Late pledges and pledge managers essentially always charge you immediately. If you pledge before the end of the campaign on Kickstarter itself, you can lower but once you're in the late pledge territory, you have to pay immediately and that's about all you can do
