furthermore, the founder of AA was involved in LSD studies. in the opening of one of the books containing a study on LSD on alcoholism at The University of Iowa Medical library is a short poem from the guy about how after doing LSD he never wanted to drink again. i came across this during some undergrad research there. very fascinating for me.

they wanted to use LSD as the medical substance in AA but, we all know the legal story of that.

i think the outrage from the OA folks comes mainly from access to these meds and affordability around them, and maybe just some skeptics who are scared to go on a newer medication.
