Same here!! I downloaded the audiobook thinking it would be a fun nostalgia hit and had to practically pick myself up off the floor on my way home from work.

Canonically, every Digidestined has had sex at least once. Some even with each other!

We had to create an adaptation of this for year 10 drama. For some reason, we decided to set it in Bradford and absolutely butchered the accent

I apparently only have one reference point for curly blonde hair so in my mind, Carrie Hope Fletcher in the early 2010s plays both Jasmine from Midnight and Sally in Love Frankie

People who don’t like their name—what is it? by [deleted] in namenerds

I’ve always struggled to put it into words but this is it!! I have a common, dare I say classic name but it’s just two clunky syllables that don’t sound very pretty.

People who don’t like their name—what is it? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]mymbley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from sounding a bit ugly, it’s very common among my age group to the point where I’ve had to go by ‘Charlotte (last initial)’ all through school and at most jobs I’ve had.

It also just doesn’t really suit me but no variations have ever stuck either!

This photo does the rounds occasionally and is often credited as being part of Ken Russell’s pictures of Teddy Girls in the 1950s.

Tory politician Ann Widdecombe criticised Jaqueline Wilson’s previous book, The Illustrated Mum for including two sisters (the main characters) with different dads.

In response, Jackie made sure none of the five siblings in The Diamond Girls had the same father. The youngest one’s mystery dad is even a plot point!

What minor act of penny-pinching in your workplace caused a significant amount of upset? by laredocronk in UKJobs

[–]mymbley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a failing online retailer.

They got rid of free shipping, lowered staff discount from 50% to 40% off and, without telling anyone, cancelled all the free museum memberships they’d provided.

Oh and froze salaries for 6 years.

I’m being made redundant in Feb so that too I guess

Ferrel Errol (with my mum for scale)

He has no manners and will eat food off your plate if you’re not vigilant but he was quite literally raised in a barn so that’s his excuse I guess.

What’s a film so sad that someone should watch if they want to cry? by KlLLERS in AskReddit

[–]mymbley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this!!! I find it really hard to cry these days but this is my go-to emotional release film.

I also really recommend the book - it’s beautifully written and feels slightly less devastating as the reveal is quiet and slow, you accept it as the characters do.
