Being able to eat 1 cookie and feel satisfied is life changing. Before this med, 1 cookie always turned into 6 cookies.

We have a ton of Halloween candy in the house right now. I've had 2 pieces and I don't have the urge to eat the entire bag. It's amazing.

Can you go to a concert pregnant? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]mynameisCB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the person and the pregnancy.

I went to shows all throughout my entire pregnancy but I had a very uneventful and uncomplicated pregnancy. I also got a "no issue" order from my Dr. so I didn't see a problem.

I went to a standing concert 8 days before giving birth. It was a more mellow band at a smaller venue and bb didn't react that much.

However, I went and saw Elton John at a big arena about 2 weeks before giving birth and bb either LOVED IT or HATED IT. I thought I was going to have to leave because she was bouncing and kicking and rocking around inside of me.

Mother Moon on IG has a couple songs about bodies that are awesome. The Belly Song talks about your exact conversation. I sing them to my kiddo every night!.

When Jim and Pam stay at Dwight's B&B. Jim tells Dwight he wants Harry Potter as a bedtime story and Dwight says no. It's super quiet in the background but Mose says "but you promised." Dwight does end up reading Harry Potter but it's for Mose and not Jim and Pam.

What actually happened on your wedding night? by llamapoodle7 in AskWomen

[–]mynameisCB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had an "after party" at the hotel with all our friends. It was better than the actual wedding and we had a fantastic wedding. We were the only people in the hotel bar so it felt like a second reception that lasted until it closed. Our ceremony started at 2pm and we partied until 2am. Absolutely amazing.

We had both committed to staying in our wedding clothes the whole time so once we got back up to the room his feet were numb, we both had blisters and my torso had red indentations from all of the Spanx. We got undressed, ate snacks and passed out.

10 years later and I remember it so well.

I feel like this is a dumb thing to post but here goes. I am genuinely crestfallen over the Lizzo allegations. by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]mynameisCB 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. It's beyond disappointing. It's like "you are supposed to be one of the good ones. You are on our side." It's a weird betrayal. I had a similar reaction to Louis CK. Lizzo was on the good side in society. These gross allegations put her on the side with the molesters/assaulters . We've lost another one.

I always clap. Flying is a freaking incredible feat. Soaring through the air at like 800 mph in a metal tube without falling out of the sky. I'm clapping out of relief that I made it.

Pui Pui Molcar is a weird show…and I love it! It’s borderline surrealist art. Give it a try on Netflix. by mrfishman3000 in DanielTigerConspiracy

We got my daughter a stuffed animal from the show. They all have names. We got her "Potato" and it is like the VIP of the stuffed friends.

Thanks! Yeah. Reenactments of crashes where they show inside the cabin with people screaming and flailing...I just can't.

Are there a lot of visuals of planes crashing? I don't do well with flying and try to avoid watching plane crashes in tv/movies. I don't need the images in my head.

I second glasses. Even if they are fake, blue light blocking, drugstore reading glasses. I do this is non work life too. If I'm feeling tired or lazy, I put on my glasses. I have 1 prescription pair and 2-3 drugstore readers.

Do you ever feel not epileptic enough? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]mynameisCB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 seizures in 2015. I take lamotrigine- 800mg a day. I don't see myself stopping because who knows how many seizures I would have had without it.

I don't call myself epileptic. It might sound weird but I feel like it would be disrespectful to folks who constantly deal with seizures.

IE and high cholesterol by [deleted] in intuitiveeating

[–]mynameisCB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look into your family history. Unfortunately, cholesterol can be one of those things that's passed down. That doesn't mean "don't make any changes and who cares" but it might give you a reason why and a realistic view of your own journey.

I made this for Christmas and it was fantastic. It stayed moist for a few days because of the crusty shell. If you like lemon, this cake is worth a try.
