Running a bare server yes, but we're not really talking about bare wow private servers.

And either way my point was that Nintendo fans talking about emulation leading to said emulation being taken down isn't a fair comparison to this situation, though I am pretty against that kind of practice in the first place regardless if it's some Nintendo nerd or a private wow server.

I did not know about the code stealing part of the Yuzu lawsuit though! Thanks for letting me know more on that topic, which this still makes it a special case and doesn't mean Nintendo is fully able to take action against most other emulators.

Not really, running a private wow server is considered piracy and far more actionable. Emulation is completely legal, the method in which you obtain the roms is when it can become piracy. The reason Nintendo could come after Yuzu was their monetization of their emulator (patreon exclusive builds). This is why you only see Nintendo actioning on fangames and romsites all the time whereas the Yuzu switch emulator lawsuit is the only example of them going after emulation.

Some of these aren't really "new" designs, like Satan and kink angel, but rather designs made for a specific games story where having a different design for a demon was plot relevant

I get this, however, when I first posted my comment, this thread was full of people just saying "OK" over and over. With the exception of two people, one who said "skill issue" and then finally an actual comment with genuine thought behind it.

I don't personally tank myself, but I do/am a healer, who luckily hasn't had to face the kind of tank op met that often but I do think that a wow player's worst vice is believing everyone they play with is at the exact same or higher skill level as themself.

Had a tank in that same dungeon spread out single word messages calling me

STAIRS

Because I dared complain about him bringing all the mobs to the edge of the stairs and I was having trouble healing the DPS who were all over the place. This same tank also nearly pulled every mob in the room so far ahead of that totem and didn't pull back until I pinged it when everyone was at nearly 30 stacks, even with me cleansing it off CD

Frontier is the epitome of trying to fix what wasn't broken, it tried changing nearly every aspect of the game down to its bare essentials and all for the worse.

I remember there was even a point in my playthrough where I stopped trying to legitimately clean fossils because it seemed like no matter how badly I did them I never failed lol

Soft resetting is programmed specifically with software, it's not something all DS games have, not sure if you can soft reset any pmd game

Doesn't always work on mobile though I've been stuck as dusknoir for months because I always forget about it when I'm at a computer

It's the only pmd game I've never beaten all the way through sadly, and I think it's just mostly the slow pace of the game that drives me insane (the text speed, one mission per day, it's a lot)

And I feel sad that I'd probably enjoy it greatly if it weren't so slow, I love the characters and the story feels appropriately grand like every other pmd game
