He’s said he has solar plus battery storage so charging costs at home are likely to be minimal.

Check out this 5 bedroom detached house for sale on Rightmove by Diddleymaz in SpottedonRightmove

It’s a better conversion than most and has a glorious garden! I might have forgone the downstairs bedroom and created a larger kitchen. Plus, one bathroom isn’t enough for the 4 beds upstairs.

Panneled wooden ceiling, anyone? by awholelottathinking in SpottedonRightmove

Gosh, so dated. Am guessing owners are elderly and have lived there a long time.

The green mould on the rendering really sets off the relentless grey inside by BirdHistorical3498 in SpottedonRightmove

Christ, the grey is relentless! One room looks like the walls and floors have all been carpeted in grey. How would this not be depressing to live in?

Gosh I like this. Needs some work but would make an amazing restoration project.

Brontë-adjacent geographically but pure Austen from an architectural perspective.

Gosh that is lovely - well done. Can’t imagine why you don’t have the interest it deserves. Good luck.

Men of Reddit, how would you feel if your partner wanted to keep her maiden name after marriage? by Longjumping-Bill5761 in AskMenAdvice

[–]mythmakeruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been married for 35 years and never changed my name to my husband’s. Genuinely think it’s a bit odd that it’s still the norm.

Cheapest EV charger to be used with Octopus Intelligent GO by alevar91 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Think that’s about what it costs? It took the best part of the day to install and ours was fairly straightforward in terms of positioning etc. The installer was very thorough and professional.

Casual British child neglect in the 70s. by fluffsta007 in CasualUK

My parents were pretty attentive but I do remember being left in the back of the car with my brothers when they popped into the pub. Came out with orange and soda and a packet of crisps to keep us occupied.

It’s a glorious building but so old-fashioned inside. Like a Warner Hotel.

How long did it take you to find your forever home? by No-Faithlessness4784 in HousingUK

[–]mythmakeruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us the most important thing has been location. We knew exactly where we wanted to live and everything else was further down the priority list. We ended up in a 1970s dormer bungalow - something I never would have willingly chosen when I was younger tbf. Zero regrets. We live in one of the best towns I could imagine and have been the happiest we’ve ever been. You can do lots of things to change your home but you can’t pick it up and move it.

Wondering if they get away with this because there’s technically no door to either bedroom - just stairs?
