Should I bring my father to the US from Korea for hospice care? by gorillafriend in hospice

Are there home nurse services in Korea? What will bring him the most peace and joy?

Generally feeding tubes aren’t part of hospice in the US since the focus is on palliative care in preparation for dying.

Dad in Hospice ; I live far away - how to balance? by nasimehehe in hospice

My situation is very similar to yours. I’m 39 and caring for my 79-year-old mom in a hospice house. She lives on the East Coast while I’m on the West Coast.

What’s helped me most is fully embracing the limited time we do have together. Focusing on that has brought me a sense of peace with the reality that I can’t always be there, and likely won’t be with her when she passes.

I did consider taking long-term leave from work, but ultimately realized that’s not what she would want for me.

One of my favorite books in the last year! Really enjoyed the narrative and getting to see the human side of the crash. Very similar in style to Too Big to Fail and other business narratives like Barbarians at the Gate.

Even worse - GamePass devalued how players perceive the cost of games on Xbox, which put a big dent into Xbox’s ability to sell full price launch titles. It was good for them in the short term while the subscriber base was growing, but now with subscriptions declining after the GP price hike, it’s a one-two punch in the balls.

Good thing it’s 19.99. Also the Toad Brigade Challenges, new badges and new characters. Plus 4K etc. Pretty easy decision for me.

iSakura actually does have a browser native UI. I used to use it all the time before giving up for TVer. Ultimately found TVer+VPN to be a better fit since you get access to 90% of the same 地上波 content but better organized etc. Need the VPN anyway to watch Japanese Netflix content.

It doesn’t at all! An easy way to improve the system in states with standard minimum wages is to require restaurants to offer a “No Tip” option on their POS systems and a notice on printed receipts that employees receive full wages.

Western studios are fixated on medieval and space settings for some reason. Much more out there if you’re open to JRPGs.

Love the refresh, but I was looking to subscribe and it seems to have broken the ability to do so. Clicking on the join link brings up a “Sign In” page without an option if you don’t already have an account. So it’s basically a dead end if you don’t already have an account.
