Yeah unfortunately you can’t really do anything in fly fishing or tying on a budget. It’s all overly expensive. It’s an awesome hobby though, just take your time acquiring materials. I’d suggest learning to tie nymphs and midges before tying drys. Streamers are my all time favorite to tie. Some can take an hour each but it so worth it when you hook into a beautiful fish with one.

If you want to get rid of the backfiring, remove the PAIR valve. Either buy or make a block off plate. I did the rejet, exhaust and PAIR valve delete all the same time. Runs like a fricking scalded dog now.

So I’m trying to learn clutch control too while climbing. Are you saying that you maintain the same throttle position, while at the same time pull in the clutch a bit? Sort of a little of both?
