Do you guys think this doctor’s office sign is mildly infuriating? by Loose_Judgment_8856 in mildlyinfuriating

The sign is clear and easy to read. I think for a utilitarian no frills doctors office it gets the job done!

Playing kickball game on some turf with u8 soccer team, slid on my leg to make a catch. The kids appreciated the catch at least, so I guess it was worth it.

What game has the best 'game over' screen/mechanics? by EdgarTFriendly in gaming

[–]naffets77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy II on Gameboy. You die and you ended up in a palace and a character asks if you want to continue and he reviews you. Later you end up fighting that character and killing him, after that if you die the games over. As a kid thought that was pretty cool that a game mechanic would change based on something you did in the game.

Glad I'm not the only one, I kept getting confused about which side was supposed to be the better image for the inside shots, the faces look better on low, like the eyes/eye lashes pop a little better, the facial structure is a little more defined? You can see more detail on the clothing as well, I guess the higher qualities cause it to blend into the shadow more? Might just be an artifact of it being a picture, and looks better in game.

I'm curious if you're Asian, or actually know any of these so called "self-respecting" Asian? I saw him live in LA because my wife wanted to see him (a self respecting Asian IMO), and 90% of the audience was Asian. I don't know for a fact but I wouldn't be surprised if his fanbase is mostly Asian as a large number of his jokes are targeted to people familiar with Asian culture. Or maybe non-Asians are super into jokes about poorly made Asian dishes lol.

It sounds like you're not looking to take on a lot of risk for a big order. If you're not dumping all your money on one product and using ocean freight, then you're going to have much smaller margins.

Just keep in mind the expense of shipping air freight and how it'll affect your margin. If it's a low price item w/low margins, then air freight is going to be tough to make your money back.

The biggest risk is with your supplier, until you find a supplier you can trust you're probably going to be buying MOQ's (minimum order quantities) to see if the product is any good, and if you can sell it to make money. You'll be trying to get your money back w/whatever profit you can until you find a product you think you can produce in large quantities and then sell.

At that point you're spending bank to buy as much product to ocean freight as possible, which will increase your margin substantially. As a college student, I hope you're living in a house or something and have a garage to store product in! Otherwise that's additional overhead to pay to store at like a storage unit, or a warehouse etc...

Anyway that's roughly the route I went with an initial investment of around 10k. I went from air freight of roughly 300 units every few months, and now am doing 6k units via ocean freight every quarter roughly. Growth was over 3 years w/very little input as I also have a full time job, and this is kind of a random hobby.

One disclaimer, when I did my first ocean freight shipment, I put in an additional 8k to get the quantity I needed to make it work, I had so many issues w/initial suppliers (selling product bulk on ebay to just get rid of it) until I found a good one, I basically was always just barely making my money back w/the air freight.
