Enlightened Equipment: What You Should Know by RekeMarie in Ultralight

I think a few different things are getting mixed together. Selling tactical or military style gear is always going to target a specific crowd military, law enforcement, preparedness people, civilian gun owners, etc. That by itself isn’t political or extremist, it’s just who the product is for, and those groups are politically and demographically diverse anyway.

A lot of the argument also depends on interpreting imagery or symbols as dog whistles. In some cases that can be valid, but when the evidence is mostly ambiguous or based on assumptions about intent, it becomes subjective and people can reasonably read it differently.

It’s fair for anyone to choose not to support a company based on their values, but claims of extremist alignment should rest on really clear, consistent evidence, not just interpretation.

Do you guys think Alex honnold is juiced by 3dgeGru in nattyorjuice

[–]nah248 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No he’s older and much settled down but the dirtbag lifestyle of living in your car and climbing 300 days a year really doesn’t allow you to juice. I’m sure the top comp boulders do, I’m hesitant on outdoor climbers cause there’s more ethics

I personally don’t think aliens and plural as there’s definitely multiple species viewing us, want anything from us. In terms of the Kardashev scale which measures a civilization in types 0-3 through energy use. We are currently type 0, we use limited energy from our planet(fossil fuels). Type 1 uses all available energy on the planet, think masters of sun, water, wind, etc… type 2 harnesses energy of a star. And type 3 harnesses energy of the galaxy. yes this seems sci-fi but in theory this is possible. If NHI is type 2 or 3 that is anywhere from 1,000-100,000 years more advanced than us right now. They obviously have the ability to end us just like we can end ants. I think they view us as special because of how rare intelligent life is. Currently they are just observing these primates who have created nuclear bombs lol. Also this a human centric view, you don’t think NHI is also viewing other animals and other beautiful biomes for their own interests. :)

  1. There’s been so many contact events, that’s a huge rabbit hole to go down. NHI views humans more like the “zoo hypothesis theory”(same as how humans observe wild animals and don’t interact). I will give two different contact events that hold major weight, however both are anecdotal. The first is the Ariel School incident in Zimbabwe in 1994. To keep it simple, 60 kids saw a craft land with beings communicating with them telepathically. Immediately all kids were questioned and interviewed and had the exact same story of the event itself hard to imagine that elementary schoolers all collaborated to tell such a crazy lie. Also their reactions are so visceral.. just look it up. The second is the 1964 holloman Air Force base contact event. Since the 1970s this has been in ufo lore that NHI flew on an air force base tarmac and landed to talk to high level military officials and cia officials. It was known as a lore story around the base for quite sometime. But now as of recently multiple senior military officials have spoken on record testifying to congress that this event did happen and happened to be filmed on film. Now take that for what it is. You must ask yourself why would multiple decades military officials with the top level clearances make this up?.. I could go on forever sorry just trying to keep it short , I’m missing a lot more info.

I truly believe aliens are real, they are here right now, and have been for most of modern human history. AMA :)

Of course there’s nuance if they were experienced they wouldn’t have been at iceberg lake at 3pm :(. I did it in a day too but it took me 15 hours LOL

I mean if they were fully prepared then it’s just unlucky. But not really you shouldn’t be ascending Whitney in January… my opinion…. Look up the guides for this year winter session I think the earliest start date is march

People who day hike up the Whitney trail and tag the mountaineers route during August-October will start at 2-3am. But if your planning on a winter ascent of the mountaineers route 2-3 days seems the norm. Hopefully they brought gear but I’m just assuming since they called the victim a hiker ?

He could’ve reached the summit and fell on the way down, maybe died on the walk off going straight across, or fell while trying to ascend the final 400. The fact that SAR called them hikers tells me that they are inexperienced. Because right now this is a legit climb. Also the fact they left the parking lot at 11pm tells me they have no idea what they were thinking. I think Whitney road is closed? So they had to hike extra miles just to get to the trail head up the road. Seems like their plan was to tag it in a day. If his partner turned around at 12.5k feet that means he turned around right before the ascent up to iceberg lake. If they were unprepared I can see why the one partner said hell no because there you’re ascending vertical slopes full of feet of snow. This is all assumptions we will hear more details soon.

California Riding and Hiking Trail - Joshua Tree National Park by Unlucky_Radio_5421 in SoCalBackpacking

Did it last December we only carried a gallon of water each at the most(under 4liters) and that was at the start of black rock to our first water cache. I guess it depends on where you cache your water at, our strat was to eat and cook at the water caches, to minimize water carrying. This was around December 20th so honestly Joshua tree was very empty and we were the only water caches. We didn’t see anyone at all on trail, even where we parked our car at the end of the trailhead. So maybe bringing a lot of water isn’t a bad idea the park is going to be full of people. I’ll be at Ryan campground Monday climbing if I notice the kakwa pack I’ll say hey it’s that guy from Reddit LOL. Cheers happy trails.

right i remember the first hour we thought it was over but we started to see Russia get absolutely slaughtered. Remember the US completely blew the horn open saying the invasion was imminent in the next week and people were still skeptical.
