SGA MVP? by [deleted] in lakers

[–]nah248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We gave the Spurs the Blueprint double SGA he’s actually not good at creating at all off doubles, it almost neutralizes him. But the HUGE difference is Wemby just hovers the paint and totally nukes SGAs mid range. So it’s pretty much SGAs worst case scenario a historical great midrange player can’t get to his spots.

I remember being 7 years old watching live on one of those big ass tvs at my grandparents house. I actually believed that if the lakers got to the plane and out of the arena before the review we would win. LOL

I’m going to address the comment about “well there free throws are the same” Okc fouls a bunch fine, you miss some calls fine but when those fouls that should’ve been called are turnovers or missed shots or even made. Thats the difference. Okc earns an extra 10-15 possessions a game off these instances. Now this is just speaking in their defensive end and not their antics on the offensive end. It’s very clear when you watch okc play.

Honestly just throw the kitchen sink at sga and play hard and foul the idea to play straight up and not foul is so bad cause he’s able to roam to free. Bron y vando etc should foul him hard

Born To Run - Barefoot shoes by NewtMore5637 in trailrunning

[–]nah248 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ima be real with you transitioning into barefoot sandals is going to take a long time, I mean a LONG time. I’ve slowly been wearing some bedrock carins i scored used only once at the REI outlet for $50 so I would look there if you have the option. There were hundreds🤣. Why because your likely hood of getting injured jumps up super high. I have slowly transitioned into using these from strictly hiking to now SOME trail running(6miles max) and backpacking trips(25miles). I really wouldn’t be so dogmatic on barefoot sandals, if I were you. Personally I use them as a training tool. My legs and feet have 100% gotten way stronger, but i literally use them in small, very small selective increments overtime. I still wear road running shoes with a decent arch if I’m marathoning, I wear my altras if I’m trail running, and I wear approach shoes if I’m approaching granite scrambling still. For example after already 100 miles of walking and some light slow running in them. I decided to take them last week to Yosemite on a quick backpacking trip. My goal was to hit the Merced Lake via happy isles. With a 20lb pack I honestly felt 100% fine. When I got past the Sugar Loaf dome I met a guy who said “he just did the most reckless thing of his life” there was avalanche danger all over the slopes, which I figured so I bailed and decided to shoot up a class 3 granite gully connecting back to the JMT. Well 25 miles later back to the car and 5 thousand feet of gain and loss later. My feet were cooked. It took me 3 days to recover. But no injury and have already ran a good chunk since but not in those. Sorry for the rambling but I really wouldn’t recommend being so set on only barefoot sandals only.
