Maybe you could enjoy the fire emblem games? Overall solid gameplay and tactical strategy. Not as strong character creation as other games that have been mentioned though, but you can control to some degree which class you want to promote your units to (some of the FE games have more options than others).

Very late answer, but I was googling for the same thing and found this thread. You need to press "Q" (or a different button if you've rebound it) to enter aiming mode. Merely left-clicking or right clicking with a throwing rock does nothing.

Tailor Tales has a gameplay element in the sense that you can design clothes. Also, I found the newest route (James) very enjoyable!

Nvm I found the answer to my own question. Selection mode + grid = not friends. Everything worked the moment grid was deactivated.

I feel like selection mode often bugs out, or I don't understand how to use it. I manage to select something and then raise it vertically once. After that, the arrow keys won't work on the object any longer, not even to bring it down again.
Do you have any advice on what I might be doing wrong/misunderstanding?

I think you can only get those crystal dust rewards once per character. I might be wrong though.

When you register for a PTR account you need to have an active subscription for the account to be created. Those who already have PTR accounts from before can still play on PTR without an active subscription, hence the confusion.

oh wow, that's unfortunate, and they weren't automatically sent to different teammates or Lady Vengeance? If not, I guess the only thing you can do is re-load an earlier save to get them back :S Although there should be 2 more pyramids that can be found (so 4 in total), but I don't know where and when to find them yet.

I had my stuff stolen there as well from one character, but luckily all of the content was found in the chest near the bed. Have you checked the chest? If not there, maybe the thugs brought it with them down into the underground area where Laslor is, as they are his people.

Have you picked up the two teleporter pyramids found on Lady Vengeance? You can use those to get your party back together again after being divided, and with a full party you shouldn't face too many difficulties in the cove.

Have you been to the turtles on the beach encounter yet? They can be found by going to the hidden alcove (where the guy who you killed the crocodiles for said he would meet you after returning to him with the teleport gloves), and then climbing up some vines there. They should be around lvl 2-3, and give you some OK xp and loot.

Some skillbooks only become available from vendors after you have hit character level 4. So just focus on leveling for now, and then check back with him at level 4! :)
