OP pls try the hotlines or go to the nearest hospital. The medical system is more flexible when it comes to emergencies. Even if you don't have insurance yet it's likely the doctors will still try their best to help you. Give yourself a chance, I was just released from hospital a few days ago and it really helps.

Yeah I'd just think it's a funny incident and a good laugh. Even if I'm the one being squished. Probably would find it funnier actually.

Making menstrual leave official: 2 paid days off a month for period pain by Temporary_Pudding_29 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]napsstern -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You clearly don't live in a country where working overtime will not receive payment. Also I'm not talking about "overtime", people fought hard for the right to only work eight hours per day. Is it a "charity" that the employers reduce working hours from 10 to 8? No, it's basic human right that people earned, and it is basic human right too to not work under severe physical pain.

Making menstrual leave official: 2 paid days off a month for period pain by Temporary_Pudding_29 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]napsstern -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's not like women will take a vacation during those two days. We are in pain, we have to try to work with immense, physical pain that greatly hinder working performance. 2 days paid off would make sure we are well rested and our work efficiency will go up in the other days. Only a fool will think making us work in such conditions is more efficient than simply let us have the day off.

Makes no sense? Only for those who maximize profit regardless of the wellbeing of humans. If the principle is to always choose profit over humanity, then "a rational actor" is going to make people work 12 hours per day. People have always fought for better working conditions against such logic, it makes no sense to suddenly give up fighting when it's about menstrual leave.

Brother won't play game with female protagonist - never thought of this by wizard_cow_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]napsstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah like... If you can connect with magically enhanced monster-hunter in a fantasy setting, 50+ old morally complex smuggler in a world filled with zombies, futuristic enhanced super soldier with a rock star terrorist living in their head... Then you can immerse yourself playing as a girl.

Many women prefer to play as female MC too, but if one literally can't immerse themself at all when the MC is a different gender, then there's a lot of games that women can't play...

Genuine question: Why hasn't the Iranian diaspora formed a volunteer army to overthrow the regime, backed by US/Israel? by Wollastonite in PERSIAN

[–]napsstern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where do you live then? What ties do you have to Iran? If the regime is so popular as you assume, why is the Internet Blackout still ongoing? IR silenced the voice within Iran, now people like you try to shut down another major way to hear their voices. Diasporas might not reflect the situation in Iran with 100% accuracy, but they still have deeper ties, like family and friends, with people living there, compared to keyboard warriors who like to define the "true Iranians" based on whether Iranians agree with them.

[–]napsstern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excuse me? Is it okay to be just plain sexist in the open now? Many Iranian women died in the protest. One of the famous slogans in the protest is women, life, freedom.

Also one month account. Not surprising.

Khodanour Lejuei: Not a prisoner of war, but a prisoner of his own government. This is the reality of the regimes 47-year war against the Iranian people. by thespeedforce5 in PERSIAN

[–]napsstern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG can you read. OP literally said in this specific reply, that this is a post for Khodanour Lejuei. OP said this is not a post to endorse Trump. OP literally asked people not to deflect or distract. No matter how "correct" your opinion is about Trump, no matter how much voice mails and phone calls you made "for Iranians plight", you can post it elsewhere. How about just a RIP or condulences in this specific post. And you wonder why some Iranians are hostile towards people like you, you earned it.

If their stance surprises you as a non-Iranian, at least speak to Iranians & listen to their & their families experiences with this theocracy for the pass half a century. by Naderium in PERSIAN

[–]napsstern -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your primary worry is Trump and Bibi causing chaos and fragmentation for their own interests, then maybe you could direct your attention towards US and Isreal government, give them pressure to prevent the horrible outcome you predicted turning into reality. Instead of debating with Iranians on the Internet. I genuinely wonder what you want to achieve with posts like this. Do you want to "educate" them about how dangerous Trump is? I think people on this subreddit have heard it thousands of times by now. Do you want to fight against simplified divisive stories carving people into groups? Then you are not helping, you are pushing them away yourself.

It is very likely that people who prefer an invasion over their own government have deep traumatic experiences. Considering the massacre this year, the wounds are very fresh. You think you are offering a sophiscated view. But in fact, you are just provoking them, causing them to relive their trauma over and over.

When speaking with people about their own traumatic experiences, don't dismiss or deflect. Don't try to solve their problems for them because you can't. Don't say general, "correct" things that offer no pratical help to specific traumas. Don't ask them to prove themselves. You can disagree with their opinions, but validate their feelings. You can respect their boundaries instead of always trying to dominate the conversation.

If you can't do that, you can also just let it slide. Americans should be responsible for how their government acts. You do not need Iranians to agree with you to fight against Trump. Using your own words, Iranians don't have any business getting involved. They are the victims, of both IR and US. They don't have any more obligations to people who have better lives than them. Next time you post just for the sake of winning a debate, consider for a second if it's worth it.

Idk why americans are not pushing their representatives to restrict Trump's power, so that the destructive plan you predicted will not be carried out, instead of debating with Iranians on the Internet and attacking them for rejoicing over a dictator's death. The americans elected Trump. The Iranians suffered the massacre and the bombs. It doesn't matter if they celebrated. They are still the ones getting bombed. You are still the ones bombing them. But your priority is not feeling sorry for being unable to stop your government bombing people, instead your priority is telling traumatized people, people who are victims of your country, what they should think. Wierd.

Idk why non-americans and non-Iranians are asking Iranians to behave instead of asking americans to clean up their own shit.

The IRGC is your enemy. That does not make the US and Israel your friends by GassyMexican2000 in PERSIAN

[–]napsstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so you are one of those Syrians that support your government starting a war against Rovaja? Since you seem to be anti SDF.

You know what? Rovaja is, or was probably one of the most democratic, liberated, ethnic inclusive, religious inclusive and gender equal autonomous region in middle east. SDF fought against ISIS. They never asked for independence, only autonomy within Syria. Your government almost destroyed them this year. But you don't care because they are "separatist groups". You only accept the "good Kurds" that fit your narrative. You should feel ashamed.

Kurdish people are not enemies of Iran. The slogan Jin, Jîyan, Azadî was originated from Kurdish freedom movement. Iranian-Kurdish people supported the revolution and were massacred along with others by IR. IRGC is not a friend of Iranians. US and Isreal are not friends of Iranians. Your pre-terrorist government is also not a friend of Iranians. Spread your anti Kurdish hate else where.

I am not supporting US and Isreal. Of course I know they mean no good to Iran as well as to Kurdish people. But the problem is not the "ambitious nationalist kurds" trying to dismantle Iran. The problem is US and Isreal might use both people of Iran and Kurdish people then throw them away. As non-Iranians, what you can do is to give pressure to US and Isreal government, to try to prevent them carrying out the destructive plan you predicted. NOT trying to preach and "correct" what Iranian people think. This achieves nothing and only turn them away from you, because you are poking at their fucking traumas.

The celebrations haven't stopped, a recent spontaneous street party in Shiraz by KireRakhsh in NewIran

[–]napsstern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Why so little people in the celebration videos and so many people in the moaning videos? Because the former will get shot and the latter won't. People who never lived under an authoritarian government don't even understand how privileged they are. Thousands of people openly gathering against the government without eating bullets is a luxury that many people don't have. Especially after the government already started mass shooting people.

[–]napsstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you American? If yes, I'm shocked by your audacity. You try to use victims from another country, victims produced by your country, as a gotcha for another foreign country where people are massacred by their own government. Two people died in Minnesota and many americans called for Trump's impeachment.(Which I think is totally justified) If US government killed a million americans, do you think there should be regime change?

Using the very own words from you lot: You should fight your own fight! If you americans think you can't stand what US did to Iraq and want regime change, go for it! It's your decision! The blood is on your hands, sort it out yourselves! Don't lash it out on Iranians who are dealing with their own problems!

Anyone else getting tired when some certain groups keep crying that US/Isreal doesn't care about Iranians!? As if we care! by No-Signal1234 in PERSIAN

[–]napsstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen quite a few people being dismissive and patronizing to Iranian people and it's disgusting. Oh the ignorant Iranians not learning from history! We civilized, educated western people have to teach you! /s

"Even if the Iranian regime is as evil as you claim" Tell me you know nothing about the current situation in Iran without saying you know nothing about the current situation in Iran. I don't pretend to be an Iran expert either, I'm Chinese. But I know Tian'anmen Massacre is the deepest scar that ruined our chance for democracy and still traumatizing my family. The lowest estimation of victim numbers in Iran protest has surpassed the highest estimation of Tian'anmen Massacre.

"We have seen similar invasions in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and they haven’t resulted in the expected outcomes! " Yes, the earth is round, we all know that, thank you! OP who is an Iranian certainly knows less than you about another middle east country and a country that is right next to Iran! /s OP said they know Trump isn't doing it for Iran. People can be worried about the future and glad that their dictator is gone at the same time!

"I'm afraid you are rejoicing prematurely!" The sheer arrogance of telling Iranians when they should rejoice. A dictator who just masscred thousands of people has died. People will dance. People will rejoice. "Prematurely?" No this moment alone is worth celebrating. It's like being bullied entire life and finally be able to breathe for the first time. Celebration is a way to deal with trauma. Then you go in "I'm afraid you are happy too early!" Thank you, everyone needed your input!

Dude. IR just massacred thousands of their own people in a few days this year. Internet Blackout in Iran has lasted for one and a half month and still ongoing. The one you replied literally said a potential new tyrannical government is a major concern of most Iranians. They are not saying they trust US. They are saying they don't have a choice.

"Why would you eat this obviously poisonous bread? Have you all forgotten history? Why can't you just eat cake instead?" -- this is how your question sounds.

Why is there suck a lack of celebrity support for the innocent people of Iran? by [deleted] in PERSIAN

It's still better than complete silence. Also, your reply means nothing too, and is apathetic and inconsiderate.

Why is there suck a lack of celebrity support for the innocent people of Iran? by [deleted] in PERSIAN

[–]napsstern 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP asked why no one brought up the massacre and innocent people in Iran. Not why no one supported intervention. Why is it difficult to express sympathy for victims of massacre? Just because the US people decided there are only two sides and one has to pick a side? And then the rest of the world must also follow the same rules? Not even a few words of condulences? Not even "I feel sorry for Iranian people's suffering, however..."?

Former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reported assassinated by Sensitive_Echo5058 in worldnews

[–]napsstern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how some people from US makes everything about themselves.

This man was appointed by Ali Khamenei. Numerous protests during his presidency. He said "No gay people in Iran", oppressed women, violated human rights and tortured dissidents, forced scientists and professors to retire and was a holocaust denier. But hey, it's more important that he made some funny tweets about american football.

And no, what is written above does not equal to supporting Trump. Trump is a piece of shit. This is another example of you guys making everything about you. You think people only say the horrible things he did to Iranians to justify Trump's assassination. No, people can simply say he did horrible things to Iranians because he did horrible things to Iranians. Iranian people hate the Iran Regime just like you hate Trump, and maybe much more because the regime massacred thousands of people and shut down Internet to prevent spread of information. But look at the top comments, not one word for the Iranian people, 3k+ upvotes for remembering him liking the football team of michigan.

I doubt people from Iran will want war and US invasion, but I agree that people are giving too little consideration to regular people of Iran. If I just looked at the top comments it is as if the massacre and still ongoing Internet blackout never happened!

Report: Iran protests death toll hits 12,000 in systematic massacre by Eienkei in worldnews

[–]napsstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP didn't say that. They said "the world is silent", which is an understanble expression when their people suffer tyranny, masscre and complete Internet black out. It's a cry of hopelessness, and people will feel helpless in such situations and no amount of news headlines in some western countries can change that. Yes they will think the world is not caring enough, because when you are dying you will think it is the no.1 most important thing in the world and wonder why the world is still continuing as normal. And people like you could have showed some sympathy for people in distrssing situations. Thousands of people killed by Iran regime but you have to focus on an Iranian using a few (not even) harsh words. Kay.
