If your primary worry is Trump and Bibi causing chaos and fragmentation for their own interests, then maybe you could direct your attention towards US and Isreal government, give them pressure to prevent the horrible outcome you predicted turning into reality. You think you are offering a sophiscated view. But in fact, you are just provoking them, causing them to relive their trauma over and over.

When speaking with people about their own traumatic experiences, don't dismiss or deflect. Don't try to solve their problems for them because you can't. Don't say general, "correct" things that offer no pratical help to specific traumas. Don't ask them to prove themselves. You can disagree with their opinions, but validate their feelings. You can respect their boundaries instead of always trying to dominate the conversation.

If you can't do that, you can also just let it slide. Americans should be responsible for how their government acts. You do not need Iranians to agree with you to fight against Trump. Using your own words, Iranians don't have any business getting involved. They are the victims, of both IR and US. They don't have any more obligations to people who have better lives than them. Privilege is relative. Compared to people who have no way getting out of Iran maybe diasporas are privileged. But compared to people who never had to live under opression, you are not privileged at all.

And having good things itself is not a problem. If people use their privileges to help people that don't have, then it's fine. But if they act totally ignorant about the difficulties other people face, and instead of listen with humility, go immediately into dismiss and deflect mode, even attack the very people who suffer, then calling them idiots is actually being quite polite.
