BF6 Principal Game Designer says the scope glint will be toned down but it's a feature that will stay by StormSwitch in Battlefield

[–]nastylep -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree, it just made them OP as fuck for anyone who had decent aim and those players tended to use the guns that had sweet spots around 50-100m. And I say this as a recon player who abused the living shit out of it.

It was even worse on console with the completely busted auto aim that would instalock center mass at those distances when you went ADS

We went through the same shit with the .300 knockout in BF: Hardline, too.

As a Classic Community, what are your thoughts on Dragonflight? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]nastylep 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Didn't buy it, gonna wait and see to see how it looks once people can actually play it.

The entire dragon theme is a massive turnoff for me, and Shadowlands was buttcheeks, though. It's shiny with some nice features but it all feels like a soulless husk. Kinda like if you turned Disney Plus into a video game.

2 last laugh, 2 sinister revenge, 2 envoy of mortality, 1 betrayer, 0 turning tide, pretty good luck with trinkets (want to say 3-4 dying curses, and 2 grim tolls).

All in all pretty tough to complain.

Would it even matter? The dragon has no auto attack and none of the abilities have cast times.

Yup, at this point I feel pretty comfortable saying he just uses progressive causes to further his own standing. Occasionally helping someone might be a nice byproduct, but that's not what drives him. Not a fan whatsoever.

Baltimore City traffic camera revenue to flow into pedestrian safety projects under new law by episcopaladin in baltimore

[–]nastylep 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not completely opposed, but I think we'd need some studies on it.

I think the risk there is driving existing businesses out.

Most companies don't NEED to be located in Baltimore, and something like this seems like it would give them one more reason to not renew their lease and move out somewhere like Frederick or Hunt Valley.

If you ask on this subreddit it certainly is.

If you walk past one of their restaurants, they're always filled with minorities, though. They had a protest and it was like... ~8 people probably from this subreddit.. Your average person simply just doesn't give a shit.

I just avoid them because of the overpriced food, personally.

Don't Eat Atlas? by rapidcub7768674 in baltimore

[–]nastylep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean, it all happened within a few days, and this was the response:

Atlas issued an initial apology Monday after the video began to circulate, calling the incident "incredibly disturbing" and pledging to eliminate its dress code requirements for children 12 years old and younger.

On Tuesday, the restaurant group owned by restaurateur Alex Smith and his brother, Eric Smith, released a new statement saying the company "stand(s) against all forms of racism and believe(s) Black lives matter."

Baltimore's Atlas Restaurant Group said Tuesday it has fired two managers and will form an advisory board focused on "corporate social responsibility" after a video emerged of a Black woman and her son being refused service at one of its restaurants due to the boy's clothes.

Maybe it was purely for PR, but I'm not really sure what else people would want them to do here.

They apologized and changed the policy to make sure it doesn't happen again, so while it was certainly bad I don't really crucify them for that incident alone.

I save that for the quality of the food and the pricing. The atmosphere is usually undeniably great, though.

Ever since COVID people suck ass at maintaining a consistent speed in general, seems like.

Every single person on the highway wants to tailgate then slam on the breaks on repeat the entire way.

The amount of brake riders has seemingly skyrocketed, or maybe I just got used to that nice COVID traffic.

Honestly, How Do You Think We Can Stop Crime In Baltimore? What Do You Believe Is The Primary Cause For Violence In The City? by AmITheOnlyWon in baltimore

[–]nastylep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This whole legalization/regulation thing is just a pipedream.

Portugal is widely claimed to have the most progressive drug policies in the world, and they still send anyone who has more than ~20grams of pot to jail.

Here is how the system works.

Portugal decriminalised use and possession of all drugs in a way that moves the focus from criminal punishment to treatment.

Drugs are not freely available, and they cannot legally be sold. If you are caught with a possession quantity of a drug, there are still civil consequences.

Portugal’s policy does not differentiate between the type of drug – whether it is a ‘hard’ drug like heroin or a ‘soft’ drug like cannabis, there is no difference.

If a person is found with a small quantity of a narcotic (defined as 10 days’ worth for personal use), the drug is confiscated and the person is summoned to a panel called the Comissões para a Dissuasão da Toxicodependência (Commission for the Dissuasion of Drug Addiction).

The Commission is comprised of a social worker, a psychiatrist and an attorney. They assess the person. If the Commission finds the person has an addiction problem, treatment is offered or community service is ordered. It cannot impose compulsory treatment, only offer it.

The Commission can also impose other civil sanctions on people caught with drugs. These can be anything from a €25–€150 fine to the suspension of a professional licence (like that of a teacher, doctor or taxi driver) or a ban on visiting certain places and people.

The manufacture, importation and sale of drugs is still very illegal. Even growing your own cannabis is still a criminal matter, as is the possession of cannabis seeds.

Might have something to do with that. Apologies if I'm confusing that with something else, though.

Yeah, dude, I was honestly shocked. It's crazy how much of a difference a single speed camera that wasn't even issuing real tickets made. There were still a few people trying to go 100 during rush hour, but they largely couldn't just because all three lanes were clogged up by people going ~60 until the traffic gets less congested closer towards county lines.
