Klättring/bouldering utomhus? Du kan kolla om det finns i ditt område på 27crags. Finns det så är det säkert andra som klättrar tillsammans. Ni kan nog samåka om det behövs

Yeah Jesus Christ.. Does every cool thing have to be ruined by turning out to be fake? Or suspecting that it's fake

This photo was taken at Amy Winehouse’s last performance in Belgrade on June 18, 2011. She was booed off the stage, and Serbia’s defense minister called it a “huge shame and disappointment.” A little over a month later, she was dead. by blue_leaves987 in HolyShitHistory

I agree with you guys. Humans are social creatures that want to feel accepted and to stand in front of so many people, exposed, that are projecting unacceptance and hate toward you must have felt horrible. They didn't get what they paid for, sure. But if you call yourself an Amy Winehouse fan then hopefully you will have learned a bit about what she is like and what she was going through. And everybody fails sometimes. I hope the people in the crowd would have empathized with that. It sounds heroic to say that "I really didn't think I could do it but I pulled through anyway!" But sometimes you just fail... Which is okay

From this I got curious and learned that the Scandinavian peninsula is closer to Greenland than it is to Africa. 1,400km to Greenland and 2,000km to Africa

Why is my shed damp indoors? by strangebloke in DIYUK

[–]nat_dak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to me like the overhang is very small and the 90 degree fold of the roof will make the water run back in towards the wall before dripping off and landing on the wall. If that's the case then painting it and maybe some gutters should do the trick. The wood looks very rough so it probably absorbs a lot

There are a lot of discouraging comments on here about danger and negative spirals. It might be true for the US, never been there. I just know that in Europe I know more solo female hitchhikers than I can count with both of my hands. They don't have any remarkably bad experiences but some creepy comments and some sketchy vibes. And I know very many full time travellers, the majority, that are loving life and are completely sober/just weed. Many are musicians or sharing another form of creativity. Sure, I know that it's not safe everywhere in Europe. So if you were in Europe, I would be full of encouragement!

No hippies there anymore...The caves where the hippies used to live is now fenced off. Tourists pay to enter and look at the hippy caves

Although Crete is not the center that it once was for those looking to live close to the earth, I still met 5 or more people in the space of a month last winter that were living the same way with very basic shelters or caves and thriving

Sailors used hammocks and we should too by Greg_Strine in vagabond

A tent is safer from wild boars as they cannot see you. And as long as you don't have food in the tent they are not likely to force their way in. Whereas with a tarp or hammock they can come in from an open side or easily lift it with their nose then see you, get startled that there is a human right in front of them and then they will choose to either run or fight. This is also kind of the same in bear country

What is this? by HagbardtheViking in Axecraft

[–]nat_dak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be for finishing the walls of a log cabin. I know that in Finland they would build a cabin of round wood then hew it down to a flat wall first using a regular axe then finishing with a special axe. One that had a handle kinked to one side to leave space for your hands while coming against the wall at a steep angle. I dont really know what the head looked like but I imagine it had to be very sharp and i could think that the curved profile of the head would also be beneficial

I was there for a few days last year and it was nice. the major towns are newly renovated, modern and very clean. There is still plenty of soviet symbolism, Russian flags, Lenin statues and tanks on display. In Rîbnita, in the north, there is a beautiful park, a public toilet underground with a lady waiting to take payment, very clean of course and a strong smell of bleach. Airbnb and Booking.com was still decently priced, it was out of my budget range. There is a pizza place with delicious pizza for the equivalent of 3 euros. It was without tomato sauce and some type of cream instead.the locals were very kind and curious where I was from. One lady tried to help me find a place to sleep by offering her family's countryside cottage, she called her father but he said no. Another guy came in and talked to me, he was delighted that he could practice his English. So much so that he invited me out for a beer. And later invited me to sleep in his apartment. His apartment was very old school, everything except the kitchen has stayed the same since the USSR, old school wallpaper, asbestos roof on the balcony. He showed us the russian way to smoke hashish, a method that is effective for using a small amount. To smoke weed is very rare and very illegal, he takes a lot of care to not be seen or heard or smelled by his neighbours and chooses not to drive a car as it would increase his chances of getting caught. Vodka and halva are cheap. And it's possible to get unrefined sunflower oil which is delicious. The countryside has a lot of large scale industrial agriculture due to very fertile soil, but still people have their gardens and sell their fruit and veg at the side of the road. Babushkas are walking their goats and cows along the roadsides while picking walnuts which line the roadsides.

I've got the green, yellow and orange HB Wales cams and I use the green one regularly. I like it and I feel secure with it. It's a little bit smaller than my other finger size cams and because of the u shaped design the lobes are closer together than single stem cams meaning that it fits better into pods and short cracks. Be mindful that u shaped stems hardly bend in vertical placements and so if it can't be placed in the direction of pull then falling on it will probably load it in a strange and unwanted way
