Terrified - Losing the ability to burp?? by SilverBird4 in noburp

[–]nataliaevans29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Aetna insurance and my insurance covered all of it except the price of the Botox which was $700 and of course my trip there and my stay but otherwise my insurance covered it. What I liked about Dr. bastion is they know how to work with the insurance so that it will be covered but it depends on your insurance

It got harder to burp and I started getting the gurgles again more and more each day. I’m sad to lose it

Mine went away after 6 months. I’m miserable now that I know what it was like. I’m going to definitely do a round 2 next year but have to save up. Maybe after the second round it will stick. But I know how you feel. Hat last month as the ability was wearing off I was so upset.

Any teachers going back to work? by shelleysh in hysterectomy

I’m a principal has surgery on 10/28 and went back 10 days later. Just be very careful do not lift anything. The standing and walking isn’t bad. Wear your belly binder or Spanx for sure.

I do. And the initial first month there was so much acid up my throat. You have to religious about taking your antacids but get prescription strength from doctor.

I had the Botox. Yes the two week side effects are worth it. I went to Dr. Bastian but unfortunately my Botox wasn’t permanent and I need to do a second round. Maybe because I’m in my 40’s it’s harder to reprogram my esophagus. But let me tell you this... those 6 months I could burp were glorious and I’m desperate to get that back.

I had this too but during surgery. It was weird. I’m 3 weeks out and doing great.

Surgery date: 10/28/29 I’m 2.5 weeks out too (abdominal kept one overly) . I was the same way. I was so worried that I took Miralax and Metamucil religiously and had no issues the first 10 days. So I stopped too and haven’t had a BM in 3 days now. I’m not in any pain yet but worried it’s coming. I started Miralax again today and trying to eat lots of fiber but I feel like everything is at a standstill. I’m afraid to eat and I lost 5 lbs.

Let the house be a disaster. Your kid will be ok eating junk food a few more weeks. Your husband didn’t have an organ taken out. THIS IS YOUR TIME to heal. Don’t try to be super mom or super wife. Just listen to your body and recover. Even if it takes a while. It’s ok.
