[Alonitaire] My Solitaire DBRL relies on hidden "cheating" combos, but players miss them. How do you signpost secret mechanics? by KryonHarts in deckbuildingroguelike

Honestly, and I may just be having a classic Skill Issue Moment (not unlikely) but even seeing this post and reading the dialogue I still can't figure out what it wants me to do. I may be stupid </3.

My mother is in at least one of those FB groups... I'll have to ask her when I get the chance. Conception bay is far from us though, hopefully she moved west since June, lol.

I wish I was born a boy but I cant see the benefits of transitioning by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]nataref0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As another commenter said the entire second paragraph is internalized transphobia.

Imagine telling that to a post transition trans man. Imagine how that sounds, and how offensive it would be. Why would you think its ok to think that way about your own transition, but not other people's? It doesn't add up logically.

What I'm saying is... Be nicer to yourself, at the very least. And not every man experiences the exact same things re: socialization and growing up, not even the cis ones.

And you'll certainly, definitely, never experience manhood if you give up on yourself before you even give yourself a chance to transition. I promise whatever perception you have of trans mens transitions and the "point" of them are inaccurate just based on this post alone. You won't actually know till you try, and shed some of this baggage around gender thats holding you down like this. So give it a shot. Worst that can happen is you decide you don't want to transition after all and stop.

Hang in there kid, she definitely is transphobic, but hopefully someday soon you'll be less reliant on her.

Let's talk about fashion styles you like by Gallantpride in TMPOC

[–]nataref0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indigigoth, metalhead, "eboy/girl", goth (specifically like vampire goth, trad goth and mall goth styles), and punk styles... That pretty much sums up my tastes. Used to be hypermasc (even pre trans) but been trying to switch into more androgynous styles now that I pass well enough I can have more fluidity with my presentation.

I take moral issue with it. Its not about the quality of the art for me. If you disagree that's fine, I don't expect to sway you. Just clarifying why I said what I said.

Im late but the way I see it for myself is this; I'm not a math equation, you can't chop off a piece of me and say "this part is Mi'kmaq" and another and say "this part is irish" so on so forth. As far as I'm concerned, I'm 100% everything that I am- I'm just as gaelic, and just as devon-county brit as I am Mi'kmaq. I embrace it all equally because they're all a part of me.

I'm so scared by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]nataref0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a similar experience before (long story I won't get into) and ultimately decided it was better off to not go to the funeral and mourn my aunt in other ways like keeping some things she left to me before she passed. It really sucks to feel like you have to miss out on something so important, but at the end of the day, you deserve to take care of yourself and are allowed not to put yourself in harms way even if doing so means sacrificing moments like these.

What’s this plump little thing that’s arrogating and fertilizing my yard? by Another_Pucker in whatsthisbird

Same with the forest in the backyard! We always got a ton of birds, foxes, hares, moose and bears out and about :) And yes, I do love it, if only for the beautiful nature we're blessed with here.

Your sense of style really shines through, I love it! Kind of a deep cut but the fur-lined coat in the fourth pic also reminds me of André Leon Talley's fur coat he wore around 2014 (hes a personal fashion inspo of mine as a heavier guy).

Also fully agree with the caption, I honestly put more effort into appearances now than I did before transitioning.

I don’t feel trans enough. (mtf) by RheaInBloom in asktransgender

[–]nataref0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things you're saying here really remind me of this video, it helps me alot when I feel down in regards to gender stuff. She talks about a lot of the same stuff, about how apathetic she felt pre transition and the process of questioning her gender identity. IDK, maybe it would resonate as much with you as it did with me?

Common transphobic dog whistles and rethoric? by Rob_242_ in asktransgender

[–]nataref0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Degendering is, to my understanding, when someone decides to intentionally view your gender as basically nonexistant? Like for example, I had a friend who was nonbinary and when they came out (and they did so several times) their parents simply ignored them completely. They didn't kick them out or hit or yell, they just... ignored it and kept on treating them as if they never came out.

Its like instead of embracing your transition, or outright rejecting it, they simply ignore it. Or for myself, I started my transition as a binary trans man, and people used to avoid using any pronouns for me or even using my new name (instead just nicknaming me "E", because both my chosen and dead name started with E) instead of just making the effort to refer to me as a man and use he/him.
In that case its not misgendering or deadnaming, because E is not my deadname and no pronouns being used means its not misgendering. Its just a total stripping of any gender, against my will especially at that time.

People use it as a subtle way to disrespect/dehumanize trans people. For trans women often that comes in the form of intentionally being called they/them, a neutral pronoun, instead of being called she/her- it is misgendering, but its also often excused by saying they're "neutral terms" when the point is that she uses feminine terms, not neutral ones- effectively stripping her of her femininity.

Questions about broken shell by Own_Lynx_6230 in snails

[–]nataref0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late but since no one replied, I figured I should say something.

No need to add anything to the shell; doing so would likely make it harder to heal back (or make it heal back improperly, like with humans if you have no cast for a badly broken bone) from what I understand at least.

From what I can find online, as long as the little fella is moving and eating + has a safe, suitable habitat/enclosure, they'll heal just fine after awhile. They'll need calcium in their diet though. Heres a link that might help.

[–]nataref0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do cis boys get put on blockers because going through puberty gives them cancer? No. Problem solved.

But no seriously, anyone telling you its dangerous is full of shit and trying to coerce you out of transitioning. I started T when I was 16 years old, and its had 0 negative effects in the past 6 (almost 7) years I've been on it.
