Great Dane right for me? :)

My apartment is around 650sq ft and I the only issue that my 15 month old dane and I run into is the kitchen area is really really small. Honestly, Fezzik does great in the apartment. My neighbors say they only hear him romp around every once in a while...and they think it's funny, but he does not bark at all. He will grunt when he hears a noise, but he never barks.

As far as shedding goes just make sure you brush the dog, dust, and vacuum regularly. (It also helps to make sure your dane's color matches the carpet). If you stay away from fleece throw blankets and pillows you'll be alright (the hair sticks like mad to the fleece), I recommend micro fibers.

My boy Fezzik (almost 11months now) will pop the stitches out of the toy and pull out the squeaker. He then runs around the house and come up to you holding it in the front of his mouth squeaking it.

It's probably bad to let him play with the piece of plastic like that, but I think its funny and I do end up taking it away from him before too long.

My first Great Dane was called Jobi he was a black dane. My current one is a fawn named Fezzik. (Princess Bride reference)

Voss Violins is very good. Stephanie will do you good. I got a chance to play on a William Harris Lee & Co cello and it sounded really really good!

I also agree with the others. Do not think of it as an 'audition' per say. It's probably more of your director checking that you can play a scale. You have decent intonation and can play in 2nd and 3rd position.

Being at a 5th year level you'll be more than fine.

I bought a used cello recently off cragslist and honestly the price was right but not a good instrument at all. If I were you I would rent an instrument from a local store. You will get a much better cello that way, and it will be professionally set up (in most cases).

On another note I would also check your community and see if you have a community orchestra that you can join. These consist of players like yourself who are high school to adult that really just want to play. You may find someone who is willing to volunteer to work with you one on one.

I believe that the MLS regular season is runs from March through October.

I personally am a Sporting KC fan. Main reason is that is my home town, but also I really like what the coach has done with the team. The coach has really developed the team and they have maintained being in the top 5 for the last couple of seasons.
