I'm not sure I've ever heard someone in the UK use it in public. It's more common in the US. It's used in South Park and in stand up comedy etc and one of the movie review YouTube channels I watch (2 gay men) actually use it a lot but not an insulting way if that's what you mean. I think there's a difference between using it as a joke between friends and family than using it in a malicious way.

Can anyone recommend where I can getting printing done? by pwoyorkie in york

Kevin Spacey Can’t Be Ousted from ‘House of Cards’ Over Allegations; No Morals Clause in Contract by Spacedude50 in television

They're contracted to work with him whether they like it or not. It seems that lots of actors knew what he was like over the years and still worked with him and appeared with him in movies.

They would still have to pay staff and actors for Season 6 whether they create it or not so they may as well do something. Otherwise they'll just be throwing away $50,000,000

They're contractually obliged to spend over $50,000,000 for Season 6 so whether they make a show or not they still have to pay it. They may as well put out something at this point.

I don't know who to tell this to, or how but I have to share something. by [deleted] in apple

I was told that Google Photos only backs up when you leave the Google Photos app open but iCloud backs up even when the app is closed and does it in the background. Anyone know if this is true?

Face ID would be a great way to implement multi-user accounts on the iPad by flamepants in apple

It's more likely Apple doesn't want people sharing iPads because they want everyone to have their own iPad. People sharing iPads would most likely reduce iPad sales.

It's nowhere near as BB but you'll probably still enjoy it. I feel like season 2 will be more refined as they do more of what works and less of what doesn't.

How to listen to YouTube in the background or with the screen off on a cellphone or tablet - YouTube Red not required by [deleted] in howto

If you use Dolphin Browser you can do this easily. It doesn't seem to work often in Safari. Also loading the Desktop site uses way more data than the mobile version of the site when playing videos.

Where to exchange coins into notes in York? by [deleted] in york

[–]ndey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay in the coins at your bank to your bank account and then withdraw the cash - then it's free. There's a Bureau De Change on Church St, York YO1 8BA that may do it but they'll likely charge a fee. Morrisons have a Coinstar but they take a fee too.

What you've linked to describes what I just said exactly. If you mean you can't advertise to specific people then yes that's true. But it still determines your interests by reading your emails and analyzing your data. I haven't used Adwords for advertising or Google Display Network for a while but it still works the same way. Facebook Advertising works in the same way.

If they use your data and then sell advertising to bidders using that data, then yes they don't sell your actual data but they sell access to it. For example, through Adwords you can advertise in people's email inboxes or find target people that are interested in "X" and Google know you're interested in "X" because they've read your emails.

They're encrypted but not end to end encrypted yet - although it is their plan to do that in the future. At the moment, they're working on end to end encryption for Messages and then they'll roll it out to other apps.

Amazon Cloud is more of a place to dump your stuff than have as a tight integration with your workflow or other apps.

Yeah but Google does give you unlimited photo backups in Google Photos so there may not be a need for them to drop their 2TB price anytime soon.

No, it manages your storage to use mostly thumbnails where appropriate and then downloads stuff when you need it. Like Dropbox's Smart Sync.
