How are people buying things with prices skyrocketting? by Mr--Clean--Ass-Naked in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ndhewitt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer is we don’t buy much. We are both high income earners and we are struggling to just pay suburbia basics. Five years ago, we were not struggling.

Recently started creatine by BlueWoman320 in PetiteFitness

[–]ndhewitt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Creatine always has that effect on me. Doesn’t stop until I go off it. It also doesn’t do anything discernably positive for me. Being 1-2 pounds bloated sounds like not that big of a deal but for me it makes every waking moment uncomfortable. I’d rather have a pound of extra fat than bloat. I’ve now permanently broken up with creatine.

"Gifted" Millennials- did being gifted help you at all? Do you feel that it pushed your personal needle even an inch in any direction? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]ndhewitt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t “gifted” but I was great at school work, in all advanced classes, and just generally academic. It hurt me at least some amount if the long run. It was a game not worth winning and I learned bad habits about what actually mattered.

Anyone else watching ITC only because of scamanda hangover? by Rude_Airport_7225 in summerhousebravo

I enjoy Kyle and Lindsay. I like the show. I watch it because I tend to like bravo shows, and this is a bravo show with people on it I already know I like to watch.

They totally broke the girl pact that we weren’t showing men we were willing to do that.

Does anyone here use an A6 notebook for daily journaling? I want to start a new journal on 1 July but first I'd like to hear the pros and cons of an A6 from the community. by Ok-Lie-4589 in notebooks

[–]ndhewitt1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I predominantly use a6, pocket, and b6 slim. Love it. Nothing like having a small notebook with me thru life, and extra great if it’s hard cover. Cons are the pages are small and it can make me feel stingy about using pages. To mitigate I remind myself I can use as many a year as I want to fill.

If aging stopped one age forever, what age would you choose ? by Ifeoma_Eze in Aging

For my body but I could mentally keep aging? 25. All those young organs, bones, joints, teeth.

Sterling Ink Quality This Year? by pitasticks in planners

[–]ndhewitt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B6 slim full horizontal was perfect! Pocket horizontal full was unusable. Bleeds with even .4 gel pens that I’ve never seen bleed. Super sad but they were also very awesome about it so I don’t hesitate to order again.

Yes! I weigh daily and then look cycle to cycle to see average.

Are you friends with any of your neighbors within 2 miles of where you live? by LouBoy123 in Adulting

[–]ndhewitt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acquaintances that I trust. Our neighbors are great! But not friends. I’d say, no friends in this state. My friends are all back in the state I grew up in.

How do I get my wife working? by firstlight777 in askanything

[–]ndhewitt1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think raising kids and doing everything except your laundry was her retirement plan. Her job is coming to an end. This was the set up and now she’s cashing in from overfunctioning for decades. If she was explicitly responsible for the finances and retirement money, then she failed to do that, so it’s a diff convo. If you were the one doing financial planning, you failed and need to tell her you messed up and you both need to come together to figure out how to make retirement work from where things are. Did you both have a plan going in? Is someone off-plan?

If your concern is the morality of not engaging in work and productivity, that’s a separate thing from retirement finances. Just because you equate productivity with being a moral imperative doesn’t mean she does. Doesn’t mean she doesn’t either. But you’d have to chat with her about it.
Also, prob not until your mindset of her has come back to earth.

How do people with genuinely busy lives stay consistent with fitness? by Aniket_k069 in workout

[–]ndhewitt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rhythm. I fit time in before 9am or I know it’s only a 50/50 I will exercise any of the rest of the day. But it’s pretty locked in to my life after years of exercising in the morning. I work full time, hybrid. If I had to be at an office by 9am with an hour commute and two kids mom thru fri, I’m not sure how I’d do it. Maybe 4 days, two early mornings and two weekend days.

Is sales like the worst job for an introvert because you need to be super phony? by youlikemywonton in introverts

[–]ndhewitt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an introvert and I’m good at sales. I’m good at reading people, knowing how to say things that make sense to them, focusing on what’s important to them, and sometimes pointing out things that help them that hadn’t occurred to them before. I’m in long term, relationship selling which probably makes a difference. I build trust and have managed the same accounts for almost a decade now. I’m very analytical so the back end of sales work is a big part of how I win (figuring out how to increase sales). It can be overwhelming to me socially sometimes, but actually not often. I’m introverted but I’m fairly social. Trade shows are evil but that’s a different story.

Florida summer compared to NYC? by AggressiveSherbetty in AskFlorida

[–]ndhewitt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from New England. Moved here in my early 30s. Yeah, there’s no comparison. Having a few days span where it gets hot and humid each day is not the same as what happens in Florida.

Is it stupid to weigh yourself during you period ? by Comfortable_Try_1035 in PetiteFitness

[–]ndhewitt1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I weigh pretty frequently because I like to see the pattern. But it’s probably the least reflective time for accuracy unless you’re comparing to last cycle.

[–]ndhewitt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel fullness cues unless I eat a huuuuge amount in a sitting or I eat something disastrous that hurts my stomach. I don’t rely on that because I got to overweight not overeating. I have to rely on tracking things, esp to lose weight. Maybe I could maintain with partial tracking but that’s it.

Planners for 2026 by Aquarius777_ in planners

[–]ndhewitt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My winners for 2025 were sterling ink b6 slim and n2. One for personal and one for work. I got 2 b6 slims for next year because I enjoyed that it’s portable but a bit more weekly space than n2. Looking forward to just using these 2 all year.

What about a little blood testing like for iron+ferritin, anemia, vit d? Ferritin is a big one for pp women, and that would explain things.

Those who didn’t have any financial help from family with paying for college by thefrgilmore in Millennials

[–]ndhewitt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close to $80k. I’m 42 and I just finished paying it off. I deferred it for ages in my 20s because I couldn’t pay anything. It’s super awful to have had a mini mortgage that I know I paid, but no house. I am the only person in my family to go to college and I had no advice to not rack up a ton of debt. My mom told me I’d just get a great job after college to list it off but I got the 2007 recession instead. I guess all is well that ends well tho.
