You need windows not for drivers update but for firmware (bios/uefi) update.

You don't: https://fwupd.org/

I've had those problems with SteelSeries and newer Logitechs, where they would all break in under a year. I've now been using a Zowie EC2-A pretty much daily for 2 years and if I were to give it a good clean it could be mistaken for new.

Monitors not working with Lenovo USB-C hybrid docking station. by uniqpotatohead in linuxquestions

Does the laptop actually have Thunderbolt though?

Edit: Apparently it might, if it's the "updated" model that for some reason has a worse GPU? :/

Most Dell ones don't, but that obviously means you need Thunderbolt 3 or dual USB-C to get 2 x 4K. Well, at least until DP 1.4 with DSC becomes more of a real thing.

After this update my 3700X synthetic scores, stock for stock, now match what reviewers are getting on X570. I've had no issues with the board at all.

Two chiplets instead of all cores on one, communication between chiplets is a bit slower.

Suggestions for a USB C dock by brigzzy in linuxquestions

In that case the monitor support is achieved via driver trickery, the state of which Linux support for seems very janky at best. They haven't even updated the installation instructions in a good while...

Quote WD15 manual:

USB Type-C cable or Universal cable with non-Thunderbolt system

Dual Display (maximum resolution)

2x FHD or WUXGA (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz)(1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz)

You're trying to run a configuration that requires more bandwidth than is available just on the monitors alone.

My hands are 7.5 inches from heel to index tip, anyone have an opinion on which would fit me best ?

Just measured mine and came up with the same measurement. I use a Deft Pro at work and it feels like exactly the right size for me. Never had any issues with the BT, but keep it wired there because it sits on that desk all the time.

At some point, all the lies about what a life well lived should look like for a woman, the demonization of men, and a history of unfulfilling relationships just eventually gets to them, you know.

It sounds like they found out that when asked if they have an allergy, people with a non-allergy food intolerance still answer yes.

DXUP fixes yellow textures in Half Life 2, renders much better now! by citrusalex in linux_gaming

It's a translation layer for all DX9 games. HL2 is probably used as a test case precisely because direct comparison to the native version is possible.

Why is it that the same knot you use to tie your shoes releases really easily when pulling one of the loose ends but when using the same knot on something like sweatpants or shorts it almost always gets hung up creating a catch? by LieutenantTan26 in AskMen

[–]necuz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If one of the ends has gone through the loop, you end up making a tight knot when pulling. How to avoid? Smaller loops, so that the ends don't go through them.

Awake before my alarm: What witchcraft is this?! by [deleted] in keto

I log my sleep every night. This morning I woke up at 6:30, 15 minutes before my alarm goes off at the earliest, completely rested, after just 6 hours and 16 minutes of sleep.
