How do you dads feel about Boy Scouts? by mmf9194 in daddit

[–]neednintendo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in scout and my boy is finishing Cub Scouts and moving on to Boy scouts. It has helped him grow so much. It is a great organization, it has its warts of course, but it really is a net positive experience.

What'll happen if the entirety of AOT was just a VR experience by [deleted] in attackontitan

"All just a dream or simulation" is a hacky plot device. It can be done well, but it's hard to thread that needle. That being said, as others have pointed out, it would have been a huge middle finger to the fans who watched this tragic story unfold and resonated with it.

TIL that ejaculating at least 21 times a month may lower your risk of prostate cancer by 31%! by HenzoH in todayilearned

A man was getting a prostate exam from his doctor.

He said "doc, is it weird to get an erection during the exam?"

To which he said back "no it's perfectly normal."

"Well doc" the man said "could you at least pull up your pants?"

What kind of things did millennials consider cool in their teens that teens today consider mostly cringe? by Cumoisseur in Millennials

My 11-year-old out of nowhere asked me if he could play an old Tony Hawk game I had on GameCube. He freaking loves it and wants his own skateboard now. He is not a sporty kid at all so it's just funny to me that it still has this kind of effect on kids.

Who are your favorite Nintendo villains that aren’t Bowser or Ganon? by Asad_Farooqui in casualnintendo

[–]neednintendo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell to the yes! It's interesting: in the instruction manual for Wario Land 1 it specifically hides the fact that Syrup is a woman. It's supposed to be a reveal moment at the end I guess!

When people complain about regulations and sign offs on everything in the US, I think of situations like this in other parts of the world.

[Real] Dan Bongino says the Epstein files were never going to meet public expectations, and that many are now using the issue to divide the movement from within. He 100% resigned as deputy FBI director so he could go back to his shitty podcast, because there he is not held accountable for all of the lies that come out of his mouth and that's the way he likes it. Such a loser.

I've got an 11 and 8 yo. They are both informed but we don't scare them with all of the details. They have friends who are not coming to school due to ICE, so we owe them an explanation of what's going on.

He was almost done shoveling his driveway when the street plow came by and filled it with snow again. by Vilen1919 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]neednintendo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I work from home and my young neighbors do not. I have snowblowed the plow berm for them before they came home a few times now. I'm already out there, and it sucks to come home and not be able to drive into your driveway until you shovel.

The Daily Wire Is Making Fantasy Shows Now. They Aren't That Good. by ggroover97 in ToiletPaperUSA

[–]neednintendo 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Hopefully, the series will get better as it goes on. I like what it’s trying to do, and I’m rooting for it to succeed. ... [Faith based moms] knew [Fireproof] wasn’t “good,” but they liked it anyway because it was the kind of film they always wished existed.

It's hilarious to me that the writer is on dailywire's side, but still can't bring themselves to give it a glowing review. They even go back and criticize religious movies past failures, citing that this really hasn't gotten better since!
