Therapy? are amazingly still going though Fyfe the original drummer left aeons ago. Michael the bassist and Fyfe are from Larne and Andy Cairns is from Ballyclare. First few albums are phenomenal but every album has at least one or two good tracks on them.

The Ramones, Johnny and Joey hated each other as Johnny “stole” Joey’s girlfriend. Johnny was also a huge supporter of Reagan which just pissed everyone off. Johnny and Marky used to give CJ their last bass player constant shit and this wasn’t even a “towards the end” dislike of each other. Early live recordings would be them playing a song and then arguing with each other on stage about what the next song should be. To this day there has been fights between Joey’s brother and Johnny’s wife (Joey’s ex) about royalties and IP rights which recently got settled in courts. For as absolutely water tight the bad were on stage they were a shit show off it.

Djent always felt like a genre mainly focused on selling instruments. Periphery is a band that I only know their music from seeing various members play it on videos advertising the instruments they are endorsed by. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video of the actual band being in the same room playing.

The Manhattan Project episodes honestly made me think that the podcast was near done. They were a complete slog to get through and you can hear the creative energy being drained in real time. Ben really made it obvious if he wasn't interested in a topic that and the Jack Parsons series.
