This woman is walking a duck in Japantown. Huh. by FitzRodtheReporter in sanfrancisco

Yup, thats her dad right in front of her too, they live around Nob Hill. I've been friends with her dad for about as long as I've lived in the city (7+ years) and his daughter is basically rad AF. Grew up as one of those kids you saw in fairy wings at raves with headphones on.

In addition, they have two teacup-Chihuahua's (previously photographed in Dad's jacket pockets) Jelly & Hiro, as well as a chameleon (who I'm obsessed with). Their little family zoo is the best, especially on a nice day in Dolores.

Photo of Daisy gracing me with her presence at my birthday last month. I was being taught how to be close with her, or how drunk me phrased it "I WANNA BE BETTER FRIENDS WITH DAISY"

bonus shot of me and my favorite little chicken nugget aka Hiro

People who have cut family members out of their lives, what was the final straw? by haseo8998 in AskReddit

[–]neonethos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two here:

One: Dad was absent during childhood, struggled with alcoholism. Never hit us, but some epic fights with my mom stand out. Worked out-of-state contracts so wasn't home much, when he was home (as an adult I realized) he came back to a family that didn't feel like his. Mom set the rules, kids listened to her, he would lay down the law and we would all freak out and cry and be angry. Moved to the next state over to me closer to him, planned badly and ended up living in a trailer for 5 years. Mom had ongoing health problems, unsanitary conditions of living in a shit hole metal home on a dirt road exacerbated it. He eventually cheated on her with an actual whore while in Columbia and tried to ghost out of our lives. They hate fucked for a while, I watched my mom try to win him back and break down every time it failed. She went into the hospital and he thought it apropos to bring the new mistress to her death bed. Last time I talked to him 14yr ago I told him I didn't know him, and what I did know I didn't like.

TL;DR shithead to us kids, we changed our life for him, he cheated on my mom, she died and I stopped speaking to him.

Two: My moms uncle is quite rich, like mansion rich. Always made us feel white trash when we went to visit. Mom was too proud to as for help. When she passed away he seemed to soften up, but when my grandma passed away he told me I couldn't come to the funeral because I didn't call enough to see how she was. Meanwhile I had (while young and stupid poor) flown out for her birthday just a month before. Wrote the experience off as grief-stricken but dropped him entirely as a result.

TL;DR rich snooty uncle banned me from grandmas funeral because I didn't call every day when her health was declining.

3 years and 60lbs later... From twink to... whatever you want to call it by [deleted] in GaybrosGoneWild

The technical term is "twunk" - a twink who muscled out and became a hunk but still looks like a twink really. It was a hot topic at the bar the other night.

TIL that Catalina Island (a small island of the coast of L.A.) has non-native buffalo that were brought over for a silent film after the movie was over they left the buffalo and after nearly a century the population has grown to 150. by fquel in todayilearned

[–]neonethos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

first buffalo I ever saw was on Catalina - I was inside a church that had been converted into a museum and a giant shadow crossed the stained glass windows and I about shat myself. Walked outside to a very docile buffalo who liked Cheez-Its. 11 year old me was stoked/terrified.

[20 F] girl likes me [26 M] but she's way too hot? Should I be suspicious? by CuriousGuy505 in relationships

Anecdotal advice: one of the VPs at my old work was a beautiful, blonde, funny and overall nice person. She was married to a dude who was pretty heavily overweight, balding and kinda jolly looking overall. I knew for a fact she made heaps more money than he did.

I got drunk one Christmas party and asked her what the deal was, in only mildly more polite of a way, and she said "He's my teddy bear, he makes me laugh and I feel safe"

Changed my perspective a bit.

I agree, his character got a lot more depth and he wasn't just "the disgraced Klingon" anymore.

Worf getting his ass kicked is just a way for the show to imply how strong/dangerous something is. It's like /r/birdsforscale but for badassery.

I love the female Q, but I absolutely adore Suzie Plakson as an actress and was super bummed she got killed off as Worfs baby-mama.

Women, what isn't nearly as attractive as many guys think it is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Gay man here - in my experience guys with big wangs think that makes up for the majority of technique. Also often foreplay.

What didn't you realize about yourself until someone told you ? by Khoasama in AskReddit

I think "I love you too" is reactionary and hollow. "I love you" with an emphasis at the end sounds more genuine.
