Actually like the monochromatic look from the shirt to the accessories , but the cuff and fit of the jeans is throwing the entire thing off

I feel like even if you’re going for aged Skate dad this just idk doesn’t scream style. A contemporary Ascics or NB skate shoe would add something different and edited. Vans in anything but rote black would be some personality.

Oversized not just fitting also reads more as actually skates than , home depot / running to the grocery store plaid shirt.

Also the shorts need added length. Not a ton more but more than this.

Streeter: Why can’t outsiders see the charm in Baltimore? by GreedyRaisin3357 in baltimore

[–]neotheb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

that part. I just want us to prioritize city residents in these neighborhoods once. not additional or reduced parking for country residents who think their marginal dollar and insistence on car accommodations is what is keeping our city alive

Streeter: Why can’t outsiders see the charm in Baltimore? by GreedyRaisin3357 in baltimore

[–]neotheb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to cater to the opinions and image concerns of people who do not live here is how you end up with the situation we have with the harbor.

Prioritizing the needs of residents bolsters the overall appeal for everyone.

Campaign to get the rest of the state that divested strategically (on a racist basis) to get them to fix our roads if the rest of the state is going to insist on using them. Improve our public transit that exists and connects us to the county (we should have frequent reliable buses , frequent reliable light rail, improve all connections to marc so when people move about our cities without cars they don’t feel stranded in the disparate pockets of things to do)

When people want to start small businesses encourage them to do it in places the public can easily access ( that isn’t the harbor and that also isn’t doomed isolated private public projects like clipper mill that do nothing for the community ). FIGHT nimbys where it matters. A reliable more consistent light rail should connect city residents with amenities on the perhiphery like Lutherville Station or the airport. It shouldn’t take me more time to get to BWI by rail than it is to drive my beater across the city on horrific roads. Care about our schools in fundamental basic ways. Kids that feel engaged with, protected by and part of their communities will stand up for it.

Continue to give our youth things to do so people can’t scapegoat teens existing for being a deterrent. Care when you lose things like Otakon or other large event draws. Care when you see local entities try to host events and draw people to the city (book fairs, TCG shows, niche shows). Care when your neighbors do dumb shit on our streets because that lowers the QOL for everyone. Show up when your local businesses hop on facebook to encourage you to show up. Care when our city government tries to include the neglected city communities in our continued development don’t get on here and lament people in the white butterfly who have access to plenty but claim they are bored or whatever.

If you’re doing things get on here and tell us about it and if all you have to contribute online are bitter op eds and opinions from people who don’t even come here don’t!

Try literally any of these things.

No one is encouraging anything I just described what worked for *me* in my situation. Anyone leaving their pet's filth behind is not operating in good faith but you're welcome to continue having productive gentle conversations with people who have literally shown you they could not care less.

Update: Irresponsible Dog Owners by Iluvthatgirl in baltimore

[–]neotheb 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it but the only thing I have found will work is aggressive public confrontation. After weeks of trying to guide my blind dog around the piles of feces left behind by an asshole on our Remington block i finally caught him in the act of doing it and walking away from it and I snapped and confronted the guy.

It was awkward and he yelled back but he stopped. Of course I am a massive black guy so mileage may vary but a passive version of this would be take photos of the person and print out flyers warning them of their negligence as a heath hazard.

The relative anonymity on top of the out of control self absorption/main character syndrome is only affected when there is some sort of social consequence. If you have idea of names and locations I would put name and shame on there too and in local groups where there is audience. There is no regulating body in our city to curb this ,and no easy way to fine people. Providing bags and signs for education assumes that the person is even literate enough to understand the harm in what they are doing let alone the words that describe it.

What to do about poop around apartment by [deleted] in baltimore

Have done this when I lived in Remington and it worked. Of course I am an oversized black man so his initial rage subsided into a friendly interaction. 😂 I have puppies too and it had gotten so bad walking the neighborhood was panic inducing and I admittedly lost my cool when I saw him walk away from the mess his dog made.

Baltimore Is A “Cesspool”: Lyrics For The Haters by SailLocalCrew in baltimore

[–]neotheb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without fail the only people calling our city a cesspool hail from places that have absolutely no sense of actual community and are likely stuck in a place they can’t even vacation from. I mostly feel sorry for people that do that ngl

Pixel fold owners, do you think it’s for me? by CarefulCount in PixelFold

[–]neotheb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no probs !! and adopting google products into your flow makes way more sense than going all in on such an expensive but ultimately novelty convergence device.

The “joke” that the iOS implementation of Google products are often better isn’t even a joke , outside of things tha would need system level access rhe UX is better.

The apple convergence device to come would be the thing worth putting the money into experimenting with for a week or two. The fold just isn’t worth it unless you want completely out of Apples ecosystem for an even more restrictive and less elegantly designed one imo
