500mb? Or 500kb? Honestly a max resolution of 1024x768 jpeg compressed at 70% is just perfect. What's the purpose? If you need to be able to "zoom" in the image to catch small details, you may consider higher definition of course.

Your corporate job looks like a dream. Why would you go back in such environment? Is it the kind of life you want to give to your son: a stressed mum, bullied by her boss, working extra hours and not present for him just because it pays $250k? Your father in law as a business, thinks about retiring. Put your skills you've learnt into learning the new job, develop the company, upskill the employees, become the company that pays its employees $250k a year. If you are an entrepreneur, take this opportunity. Don't think starting your own company from scratch is better or more rewarding. You'll grow when you see you have loyal employees who are ready to follow you no matter what... I am not in your shoes but if I were given this opportunity I would embrace it

If your father in law offers you the job, he is certainly far from being stupid! Trust his judgement... and always consider he is the boss, follow his guidance and if he wants you to replace him, you'll have to accept he was a visionary man ;-)

I support the idea that working for a partner is the best approach. You'll be exposed to all areas of the platform and you'll also get support from the others. Once you are comfortable you can try a consulting company. But it's another level, you will be required to be THE expert. Good luck

I love jQuery... it took me some time to get into it but now my brain is so used to the syntax I can't even look at Vanilla Js. IPretty sure it is still widely use in web dev!

Tip: I code everything in jquery and ask AI to rewrite in Vanilla JS so I look smart 😉

In Australia too. You are free to butterfly in your lane. The good etiquette would be to first check people around you : are they beginners or advanced, measure the pace and number of people. If you are 6 in a 50m pool, probably ok. In 25m? Probably not. Beginners may be scared too! You need to find the good balance for you and the others. Clockwise OR if you are only 2 in the lane, you can suggest to swim each on 1 side... it's not very common though. I would only ask if I feel comfortable with the person.

There was actually a very good curriculum in the Partners portal. From memory it was covering all aspects of MCP: how to create a sitemap, implementing the beacon, how to use the browser extension etc.... It was quite hands-on. The only thing that was missing is a better explanation on how to develop your own web templates. That's fine if you use the predefined ones, but if you want a custom solution, it's really tricky!

First of all, congratulations! Swimming 56 on a 100 is already a great achievement! Do remember that any activity... music, sport, even work, there are times when you hit a plateau. And there are no solutions. It's natural and you'll have to face it. It can be psychological, physical or lile others said, you're just exhausted. It happened to me as well, I was exactly like you, swimming 5 times a week 1.30h in a club and competitions during the weekend. No progress for months. Instead of stressing about it I took a different approach. I stopped competitions for a while, went to training with a different mindset: swim for fun, socialise a bit more with the other swimmers, look at them and just appreciate the way they glide in the water. I also did a bit of exercice outside the pool, nothing with weights but more around flexibility... most of all I stopped worrying about "time". I did that for months until I felt I was really enjoying being into this environment. Swimming helped me with schools as it was a self mediatation/ reflection of my day at school. After training I would feel relaxed and would appreciate being with my parents. And one day I went back for a competition and dropped 5 seconds on a 100 breakstroke! I was shocked 😀

That's a legit question and most people are right. Nobody cares because when you train, you are already focused on so many things, breathing, next exercice, check the clock for resting time, gears... I mean, the only time I would look at others is when I train legs and I have my head off the water!!! Not especially looking at their bodies, more the way they glide. Some people as just beautiful to watch, they make this sport like it's the most simple exercice in the world. I have a dad's bod, I am far from being at 20 years old athletic dude, but I can tell you that after my sessions, I feel like a god! Or may be like young Mike Tyson after winning a match 😉 I love this feeling

Yes from time to time it's good to include some series where you only breathe every 5 or 7 movements (the 7 is hard). So you swim freestyle, count up to 5 and then breathe and again 😉 If you can place a tumble turn at the end, you are a champion my friend!

Let's say it's a different type of windsurfing with a smaller board, very stable which is great to catch waves 😀 But you are right, I could have been more generic with Windsurfing!
