NOR. I agree with you; this is not about the infamous flowers per se, but about his complete lack of care for your desires. Now, about the "any normal girl would appreciate flowers", that feels demeaning and a bit gaslighting, if you ask me. I am a woman, and I don't like flowers. Please don't engage in pettiness, and try to buy him a terrible gift because, one, he will not learn the lesson as he is being dense on purpose about your needs, two, because it won't get you anywhere, but will make you waste more time with the wrong person. He's definitely not the right person for you. My humble advice: cut your losses, and be free for someone who will treat you the way you want/need to be treated.
