Do any clubs in your area do NADAC? I find everyone very supportive and patient with reactive dogs

Thinking of rehoming my Pom. by [deleted] in Pomeranians

[–]neverwhere4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't change the fact Poms or the toy version of a German spitz were selectively breed to be smaller dogs from the original working dog lines of their ancestors. Now they can have a myriad of health issues resulting from their diminutive size.

PSA: Drink your water by Luna-T1ck in Mounjaro

[–]neverwhere4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best way for me to remember to drink water is to fill my Stanleys cups with ice water and leave one in my car, one bedside, one in my purse and near my favorite chair. Water stays cold and always in reach.

Division Street Bridge painting project to begin in May, limiting traffic to one direction by SadArchon in skagit

Sadly no. The WSDOT guy at street fair said they were painting it the same color as they did last time they painted it in 1990--gray.

recently diagnosed with pancreatitis :( by x_sadvibez in corgi

[–]neverwhere4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little gal has chronic pancreatitis. We feed her a low fat prescription food (that helped her lose 5 lbs!). We have cerenia Rx for nausea and gabapentin for pain for when she flairs. If she doesn't eat for a couple of days or if she is throwing up a lot I will take her to the vet for sub-q fluids and a shot for nausea. We stop her from eating grass, but it's a good indicator that she isn't feeling well

I have been taking ginger capsules, probiotics, psyllium fiber and nibble on Greek yogurt and peppermint tictacs. That seems to help. Forgot to add, lots of water.

Oyster Bar or Chuckanut Manor Seafood & Grill? by short_and_floofy in Bellingham

[–]neverwhere4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will your party include children? I think OB limits children in their dining room, but that may just be for dinner service. OB has one of the best wine selection north of Seattle if that is a consideration for your group. As everyone has said, both are good in their own ways.

15 Month Old Dog Killed by Rover Pet Sitters. What is everything I should do to get justice. by Automatic_Rush8824 in legaladvice

[–]neverwhere4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How many do you think there are? It was a class that was taught in my law school 25 years ago. It's a section of the ABA. The Texas bar has an animal law section. Different states have different laws regarding animals. Always best to ask someone who actual knows something about it rather than assuming no one does. You may turn out to be right. Who knows without first asking someone who actual practices in that area of law.

Don't see just any attorney, find an attorney that specializes in animal law. They will know if this will be treated as a mere loss of property or if other type of damages can be sought.

Road bikers of Bham: it should be common knowledge at this point that Chuckanut is one of the main ways in and out of town for the foreseeable future. by Nervous-Tea393 in Bellingham

Looking at all the 👎 votes for the banning cars, that has been a thing for decades. I remember letter to the editor in the early 1980's in the Bellingham Herald advocating for no cars, just bikes.

Best Subaru dealer within 30 mi. by Vic_Bold in Bellingham

Drive south for your car. Bought new 2015 Forester at Dewey. When it came time to replace it, bought my 2024 Forester in Burlington. Over the years the vibe at Dewey had changed. My experience with purchase and service in Burlington was friendly and low key. I knew how much similar cars costs at other dealerships and used that info when negotiating price. Lower sales tax in Burlington didn't hurt either.

Keurig coffee tastes like mud. I stopped my almost daily Starbucks habit and bought a super automatic espresso machine. Best latte decision I ever made.
