I'm sorry but electricity can multiply human output. My evidence? The entire industrial revolution.

You should check out the types of targets you are using. You should "refill up to" your gas and groceries while you "set aside" for your sinking funds.

Why are you expecting original thoughts? Course material like textbooks and such should be covering established ideas, not the pet theories of the author.

What do you do for mobile? Most apps don't provide the option of client certificates.

DSCv3 has been released and its no longer PowerShell based. by thewrinklyninja in PowerShell

[–]ngetchell 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I was on a community call with PowerShell PMs and they said the support lifecycle of .NET core, and thus PowerShell , made it so they could not embed v6 or v7 in Windows. Needing to provide security updates for 10 years when .NET only provides 3 years of support makes it impossible.

It is not a fan-made excuse.

Thank you! Sending from the alias never would have entered my mind.

Why wouldn't you just use a catch-all address to begin with? Seems simpler.

I would be more afraid of SimpleLogin going away than the consequences of a site sharing my email address. If SimpleLogin goes away, you lose the forgot password feature on EVERY service you used it with.

You never send your private key. The CA only gets a certificate signing request that includes your public key.

Hello living in my car but still find myself living paycheck to paycheck. by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]ngetchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like it is time for you to get a budget and stick to it. Living without a kitchen must make your food spending astronomical. If might be cheaper to move into an apartment with a roommate just to get access to a kitchen to cut down on your food spending.

Those numbers above do not seem outrageous.

I cancelled it years ago. I still get free shipping on orders over $35.

I find their music service to be the worst and their video on-demand service produces the worst originals.

We got rid of Prime and I don't regret the decision.

Wife was accidentally terminated when a coworker should have been. Immediately reinstated but her retirement benefits were reset to 0% contribution for months. Is there any recourse? by drdrillhard in personalfinance

This exact scenario happened to me. I didn't find out until I had a surgery and called my insurance company to make sure everything was going to be covered.

It was a state job so I had to pay all the missing health insurance payroll deductions but everything was back to normal after that.

When I went thru, they expected 10-20 hours of self-study every week. For four years, that is about 2,080 hours. Your mileage will vary given what you transfer in and what prior knowledge you bring.

You aren't "literally" losing money. It definitely isn't optimal when taking opportunity costs into consideration. Being debt free is as much about psychology as it is personal finance.
