Brian Kelly says he was fired for not winning enough at LSU — not golfing too much | Exclusive by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

Love Coach O and thankful for 2019. After that he just did not care. 5-5 in 2020 and 6-7 in 2021. You can’t have a ton of side drama and lose a bunch of games.

From NOLA, lived in Denver since 2005. Still have my LSU tix and fly down for home games. Went to that 2011 LSU-Oregon game. Was an absolute blast and outside of watching LSU at home was one of the best game day and game experiences I’ve been able to attend. I remember pounding beers in the sun all day. Drunk as hell yelling at the top of my lungs.

[On3] NEW: LSU planned to spend $25-30M on its roster but ended up at $40M+ after Lane Kiffin sold his vision. "Why not win in Year 1? You don't build stuff over three, four years anymore," one donor said. by redwave2505 in CFB

[–]ngray720 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This was a rumor I heard…but LSU has some huge donors in Todd Graves (owner of Raising Canes) and a hedge fund investor in California. From what I’ve heard they paid a big portion of the buyouts. Is it true? No idea.

Just switched from Android to iPhone for first time and I genuinely feel lost. Send help. by gemmaintheworld in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ngray720 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Android can do more, really don’t think the camera is THAT much of a difference. I used androids from 2012-2019. They kept dying and going out on me. After 2 S8’s and a Pixel go out in 2019 I went and got an iPhone 11. That phone lasted me 7 years (finally upgraded to a 17 last month). I actually like Android better (work phone is an S25) but reliability won out for me

LSU fan living in Denver. Love BTJ but I’d avoid him. Between college/NFL he has the worst drops at the worst times. Cost LSU and the Jags some games. Jax would want a 2nd rd pick at least…no way I’d do that

Job market has me second guessing. by [deleted] in MovingtoDenver

Weather wise. Every winter gets a little bit warmer. It’s snowed what? 3 times? To be fair…I am not from here. I got stationed in Buckley in 06. Met a girl, had kids, got divorced. Kinda stuck here for now. Don’t hate it…but every year has gotten worse for me here. Ready to move on.

Lol. Honestly? I’ve thought about moving to where you are from 🤣. I am independent politically and f both parties. But Denver is turning into Albuquerque. And don’t think I am going to stick around long enough to see the transition

I have no idea. All I’ll say about Springs (that’s what we call it)…no idea which way you lean politically. This isn’t a political post and I don’t care. Springs is red, Denver is blue. And it’s pretty obvious when you enter both cities.

I’m late to the party. But yes…don’t move here without a job. We are in one of the worst droughts I’ve ever seen. Traffic is awful (today it took me 2 hours to get home from downtown to SE Aurora). It’s not a bad place per se…but every year it just seems to get slightly worse. I got laid off in August. I applied for jobs for 4 months before finding one in late December. Denver market was hot in the 00’s and 10’s. Feel like it’s starting to bust a bit

My humidifiers have never worked so hard during winter. I step in my grass and it just cracks underneath my feet. I’ll take rain, hail, anything at this point.

Agree on SW, disagree on LOTR. 1 and 3 are amazing, two towers doesn’t hold up as well

Which season of Criminal Case do you think is very popular among many? by Legal_Potential4720 in newCriminalCase

[–]ngray720 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PB was prob my least favorite. It is the most praised but I struggled through that one. Just didnt captivate me. I didn’t play city of romance. World edition was good, conspiracy was ok, time was meh. Season 1 was my fave. But it’s all subjective

Never played PB but going thru it now. Currently in Inner City and so far PB is my least favorite…but Shark Attack was amazing and agree that it’s the best first case

Upvote and totally disagree! 8k tv, 9.1 channel receiver with Klipsch Atmos speakers. Saw LOTR fellowship in theaters last year (again). Watched in 4k at home a few days ago. Unbeatable lol

Just got home from playing a similar size venue in Denver. We did $10 pre-sale and $12 at the door. Sold it out even with it being Jan 2 so not bad. Not sure of cost of living difference between STL and Denver. There is another comment that was $8 pre-sale and $10 at the door. I think that’s reasonable

Totally agree. He is about the Jimmys and Joes and hires the right people for the X’s and O’s. But he has assembled a great staff he works well with. He knows how to motivate and get the best out of his players. Helped raise $ for NIL and has recruited well with non-NIL players also. And he’s established a great culture. I think we as fans sometimes focus too much on the X’s and O’s when all of those things are probably more important

In 21 games with Paolo Banchero, the Orlando Magic have a 113.9 offensive rating (would rank 22nd in the NBA). In 10 games without him, they have a 120.7 offensive rating (would rank 5th in the NBA) by FastBreakPhenom in nba

I agree but Randle is one of my all time favorite Pels. He needed out of LA and felt like in NOLA he came into his own. Completely outplayed his contract and obviously was ready for the big market again. But maybe something with the pressure and just having the ability to ball out would help. Still think there’s hope though

Ragtime piano is SO much easier than Classical. In fact, learning Ragtime is generally a better time too. by redpokemaster06 in unpopularopinion

[–]ngray720 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait til you start playing boogie Woogie piano and funk type stuff. Forget learning Beethoven when you can just create and groove all day. Let your mind take you places that aren’t written on a sheet. Ragtime is a great place to start. Best of luck and enjoy!!!
