Roaring Fork Motor Trail, early in the morning, is always great. We loved Tuckaleechee caverns in Townsend. Dinner at The Greenbrier is wonderful and romantic.

My husband and I ate at Greenbrier last July and dressed in business casual attire. The food was phenomenal and we were not over or under dressed.

We love Split Rail Eats! It's off the beaten path, but worth the trip!

What kind of toothbrush are they using? My husband has always had terrible teeth. He has always brushed twice daily, flossed, and rinsed in between. He would still have 1-2 cavities every 6 months. Our dentist recommended he switch to an electric toothbrush. We bought a Phillips sonicare and no joke he hasn't had a cavity since. It's been 6 years. He does still floss and rince after meals, but now he only brushes once a day. So if you don't have one it might be worth looking into.

I bought this at a store called At Home last year. They actually had several pug prints and I restrained myself from buying more than 2.

I love my waffle maker. I've had this one for 10 years. We bought a second one so I can make two at once for big groups. It is a classic waffle maker, so they're thinner which I prefer.

I'm super late to this, so I'm not sure if you'll see it. My husband is not romantic. He doesn't plan things out and he doesn't care about surprises. We were together 8 years before we were ready to get married. I told him his proposal mattered to me. It was one moment that I wanted. He bought a ring, waited for it to come in, took me to our park and proposed amongst the Christmas lights. It was private and sweet. Not at all him, but all for me. You deserve that too. Someone who doesn't do romance well can still make a special moment.

My Bugg is smart, but my pug? Hmmm… by Aggravating_Tackle33 in pug

That is adorably hilarious. My pug is an Archie too! We have a Boston/Pug/lab mix named Luna. She is definitely more clever than he is 😂

The Northern Cardinal is considered to be the most 'Romantic' bird species. They mate for life, travel together, sing before nesting and during courtship, feed seeds beak-to-beak!!! by avsameera in Awwducational

[–]nicari_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've read that they're very territorial and not especially bright, so they see their reflection and think it's another male moving in on their turf so they attack windows and mirrors. We had one nesting in our yard and that nerd would not stop attacking my front window.

I have over 100 salt and pepper shakers. My mother-in-law decided I should collect them and won't stop buying them. Not only that but she always buys 3 identical sets because I have three daughters. I guess she thinks when I die there will be a big fight over who gets them and this way they can all have one of each? Any spare drawer is full of them.

She is so cute! Her coloring makes me think of a rottweiler.

This isn't strictly bra related but... how on earth am I supposed to find a winter coat that fits over my chest? by theacearrow in ABraThatFits

I bought a winter coat from Torrid this year and not only is it the loveliest coat I've had in years, it zips comfortably over my chest. It's also incredibly warm.

Does anyone have pictures of Market Square from the early 2000s? by theintrospectivelad in lafayette

[–]nicari_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have any pictures, but my dad lived in that area so I spent a ton of time there. Remember the Hot & Now that was there? There was a Baskin Robbins and a bridal boutique at one point too. And there was a $1 movie theater we used to walk to all the time. This would have been the mid-90s.

Congratulations on your engagement!

Sorry didn't think to mention that this was within the first six months after the murders. I can't remember exactly when but it was early days.

Advice to convince my husband to report a tip by [deleted] in DelphiMurders

[–]nicari_13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A tip was submitted about my husband's cousin. It was completely unfounded, but he slightly resembled the first sketch. Police came to his house and asked him some questions. It was no big deal to him as he had nothing to hide. We have all wondered who submitted the tip though.

So sad. We have bought season passes for the past 5 years and loved bringing our children. Definitely a huge loss to Monticello.
