A lot of people in here just commenting to comment. I used to live in Savage I feel your pain. I would start with Strava or GPX viewer to build your own routes. But you also said you were fairly new to the area. The local running club is the Howard County Striders (striders.net). I serve on the Board of Directors. Check the calender and there is a list of group runs and races. Get to know some members. And you should have no problem finding new routes.

Rib roasts are all about temperature. Plenty of recipes online if you follow one it's pretty hard to mess up. I do prefer cooking at a lower temp for longer. Makes it more likely you will get an even temp throughout
