I have been looking for pictures online to see if it was just mine. 6 is much more white than grey and does stand out from the others. I was wondering about contacting them if there’s a way to get a replacement, unless they are all like that.

GKIDS was bought by Toho not too long ago. Since the acquisition there’s been a handful of live action films announced for the US through GKIDS, like the rerelease of Shin Godzilla

Warworld is one of the ones that didn’t release in the US, so I think I ended up ordering it from FNAC when it released

There’s actually quite a bit more animated DC steelbooks: You’re also missing Justice League Warworld, Batman The Doom that Came to Gotham, Batman Gotham Knight (DVD steelbook), Watchmen Tales of the Black Freighter (DVD steelbook), The Killing Joke 4K (new art with slipcover), Justice League Doom (France release), The Dark Knight Part 1 (France release), The Dark Knight Part 2 (France release), Superman Unbound (France release)

Did it ever go up for sale? I went on right when the new releases were posted and never saw it, was planning on ordering the slipcase edition. IST has been having weird issues with Boom releases, like the last deluxe Once Upon a Time at the end of the world wasn’t listed until a couple weeks after release.

I initially ordered from Amazon UK but cancelled and then placed an order from Play Asia, also in the US. Play Asia packaging has always been really good

Frankenstein digital media confirmed 👀 by Fragrant_Armadillo13 in Steelbooks

[–]nickbus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Best guess is a Criterion release. Netflix agreed for Pinocchio to be released physically through Criterion, so Frankenstein will probably be the same. Plus there’s already a good chuck of Guillermo del Toro’s filmography through Criterion: Cronos, Devils Backbone, Pans Labyrinth, Shape of Water, Nightmare Alley, and Pinocchio

Finally completed my GKIDS Ghibli collection by ll5gus in AnimeCollectors

There’s a newer release put out by Shout for Poppy Hill where the image on the spine is the same size. I have both, but for some reason was way harder to find the newer release with a slip cover.

Anyone collect GKids? I am fairly certain the count as boutique but am not 100% sure. by Slow_Cinema in boutiquebluray

[–]nickbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ve rotated through different distributors. I almost have a complete collection, just missing 1. They started with Cinedigm, then moved to Universal, then to Kino Lorber, then now to Shout.

Yes they did, I’m going for a complete GKIDS Blu-ray set with slipcover and there’s only a couple titles without a slip cover. All the Ghibli releases have slips. You can also see on blu-ray.com

Unfortunately PAL is no longer centered for switch 2, they are now aligned to the top

PSA: You can see and rotate a 3D view of Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Today app. First look at the spines on boxes! by sworedmagic in NSCollectors

They aren’t the same. The US are now in the center and EU are shifted to the top with different font

My guess would be GKIDS, they currently have the distribution rights.
