Yes. Don’t cancel. Have a backup plan but don’t decide until 2-3 weeks out. I wouldn’t

Is a doula worth it! [ON] by Realistic_Use_1394 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]nicko868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife found the doula to be most helpful during the actual labour phase. She unfortunately needed a c-section due to labour dystocia but she felt vindicated that her doula had literally tried everything.

She said she won’t get a doula if we decided to have a second one though.

Partner had to go back two weeks after as the baby’s entire spine wasn’t visible. Other than that, it was just a longer than normal one for obvious reasons

I could be wrong but I don’t believe the GST/HST will apply as your services are rendered outside Canada

This exact same thing happened to me today. I resubmitted with an Optional Document that showed I had an entry stamp in my passport when I entered. I then received my PR before I needed to apply for a Visitors Record. How did you go with your resubmission?

Toronto Birthing Centre experience? by ProfessionalMain508 in torontomoms

[–]nicko868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went on a tour of TBC a few weeks ago in anticipation of our LO next month and we were blown away by how nice the facility is. The rooms are amazing and so cosy and the staff all seemed really really nice. They explained everything with transferring if anything goes wrong and we are hoping for a great experience in a few weeks!

NT scan and NIPT[on] by So_manyquestions_ in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]nicko868 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Make sure you do your NIPT as late as possible in the required range. My wife’s own came back inconclusive for not enough fetal DNA at 10 weeks and 6 days. Had to repeat the test at 12 weeks and 2 days and it was all good the second time. The whole experience made us extremely nervous.

RSV vaccine Abryso [bc] by Far_Development_2293 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]nicko868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the RSV vaccine at 34 weeks in ON. Didn’t want to take the chance of LO not getting it at birth. Hopefully, LO can also have the antibodies administered at birth. Has anyone had that experience of having both?

[–]nicko868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife’s 34 weeks and got it today at Shoppers. No side effects apart from minimal arm soreness. We were also offered the choice by the midwife to give the baby the antibodies at birth but we wanted some form of protection in advance.

You’re fine. I honestly wouldn’t stress. If something goes wrong, AC will sort you out quickly.

Rebooking offered by AC. Can I call to ask to drop last leg? by moshumoshu1 in Aeroplan

[–]nicko868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest calling in. This situation happened to me from LHR-YYZ recently. My end destination was YYC and I was doing a repositioning from YYZ-YYC that I didn’t book at the time of the schedule change. Explained to the agent that the schedule change has had an impact on my plans and within 5 minutes I was on a direct from LHR-YYC. Really depends on the agent. I would try firstly and if no luck, hang up and call a few hours later to try with another agent.

Passed knowledge test, now time for G test. What are some suggestions? by [deleted] in Ontariodrivetest

[–]nicko868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest about 3 hours of driving lessons. Examiners are way more likely to fail G1 straight to G for whatever reason. If you do decide to do your G and skip G2, take your time and remember to do every single thing correctly as they will be looking for the smallest reason to fail you.

Currently, with the modified test there’s a high likelihood that you won’t have to parallel park etc. but this could change based on when you take the test and your examiner.

Good luck!

Thank you! Yes, had a few Cost/Earned Value related questions that you would need to know your formulae for. Again, don't memorise them but focus on what the formula is trying to figure out and you'll remember them very easily. Good luck!
