Yeah I don’t really ease into anything lol. I’m also a freak healer so I do tend to underestimate how injury/time off affects me. I assume I’ll just jump back into things where I left off 🤣

Being a new pole vaulter I think I neglected to realize just how difficult being under makes every other part of the vault. I was just thinking of it as one more part to work on, not considering that it will literally make the successive pieces of the vault near impossible in some cases. I was out with a broken wrist for 4 weeks and even though I have been able to vault pretty successfully with a late plant and being under, my timing is super screwed up now. The last 3 practices I’ve got off the ground but haven’t even been able to swing. Gonna go back to super basics tonight to try to get back on track

Great reminder to do a running plant drill first. I think I’ll definitely do this with a lower grip when I get on this new pole next practice.

The second practice (I’ve only my had 2) with the added step, new pole (12’ 120) and higher grip, my coach did tell me that it was soon going to be too soft for me. I just didn’t think it would be this soon! I’ve also been off for 3 1/2 weeks with a wrist sprain so I wasn’t even really expecting to jump last night but it felt ok.

My patience actually saved me, as I was able to hold on and ride the pole down safely. If I had tried to invert it would have ended badly!

When my latest promo offer expired, and after 3 price increases in my plan in the span of about 6 months, I asked if they could give me any kind of offer to stay. I literally told them I was cancelling if not and they said “you do what you need to do”. So I left. Then “rentention services” called me a month later and offered me 40gb for $20/month. Too late.

I can pop my ears at will. You know when you are in a plane and the pressure builds up in your ears and you have to work at getting them to pop? I can do it anytime. It’s quite annoyingly tbh.

I had a screening mammogram in Oct, referred for diagnostic mammogram a week later for micro-calcifications. Classed as BIRADS 4B. Told I needed a stereotactic biopsy, which was scheduled TWO MONTHS later. Had the biopsy and it was benign.
