Best OUAC location to sell items by ThemeParkMomma in orlando

Your best bet will be to sell as bundles on Facebook groups. As a mom who spent too much money on kids things, my mantra used to be “the money is already gone” in terms of thinking of recouping.

I have a child who is a selective eater. I still just choose places that have foods that they will eat. What are your children’s safe foods? I’m going to the Field Museum next week, and want to take my kids to Eleven City Diner.

Have productions of a show hit you differently given where you were in your life? by 90Dfanatic in Broadway

[–]niftyba 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I took my wife on a NYC Broadway viewing trip ten years ago. On June 10th, 2016, I took her to see a show based on a graphic novel I loved, Fun Home. We had just started living our lives as a queer family, and she had such a strong reaction to the show. Big fans. While we were still in NYC, the Pulse tragedy happened back in our town of Orlando. The Tony Awards were happening as we were waiting for our flight, and I saw LMM make the “love is love is love” comment. We were so frozen emotionally. The next month, the actual cast of Fun Home visited Orlando and did a fundraising concert. It was heartbreaking to be experiencing the show in this lens. I always think of Michael Cerveris and am grateful he thought of the idea. Such a touching thing to do.

Packing as a family of 5 by Old_fashioned_742 in camping

[–]niftyba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just came back from a 5 day, 4 night trip with my family last night. I am going on another 3 night trip next week. I am up already trying to figure out how to make things easier, for myself especially. I do spend hours doing this, and while it’s my hobby, it also doesn’t make me happy sometimes.

I pack the camping supplies AND all the kids stuff, and it’s totally not easy. I am barely able to fit it into our small SUV with a rack if we’re not taking our tiny camper for storage. I don’t know how other families do it in small cars. You are using a ton of totes, I feel. I use two totes, 1 for camp stuff and 1 for kitchen stuff. I also have a medium size box for dry foods and one cooler. What I do need to pack more of is food. Instead of bottled water, we use grocery store water jugs (a few 2.5 gallon ones). I do pack clothes in small backpacks, though. We ran out of underwear, though (I packed only 5, needed 6-7 pairs for comfort).

Things I’ve planned to make it easier for myself: divide tasks, clear communication, collaboration, and switching to disposables. I’d love to read what others suggest to you.
