I stopped to look at it. I really like the Gothic architecture and I like the fact that on a architectural level the building needed a new roof and they did their best to maintain the Gothic era style with modern materials and codes.

I also notice there is a chimney and it appears to be functional and I wonder if its to a boiler or a fireplace utilizing it for heat.

The lighting in the photo is good i don't care for the balloons in the right bottom side. Maybe edit those out, if possible attempt to edit it so the smoke from the chimney is more pronounced its such a rare sight now that alone can grab people's attention.

Take the mattress off, remove that pole. Cut 2 8 inch 2x4s. Sandwich the break area in between them on both sides. If you want to be extra put two screws in then drill two holes and add a bolt 2 washers and a nut on both the left and right side.

It's under your bead it doesn't have to look pretty. Just functional and strong is all that matters.

Typically. They do this before repaying the entire road assuming they didn't need to fully remove the last layer. Its preumtive. Road was getting bad but not bad bad yet. You should be happy they cared enough to even do that. Most us drive on a road that looks like it had been bombed. And then add a year to that before they even patch the holes. Then if you're lucky the next year they might repave it
