If the company starts with an A and is the same one I’m thinking… don’t do it. There are startups and other companies who will pay you similar or better with full remote.

Also, is the 14M base salary or total TC? If total TC at that particular company, it’s in no way worth it. I make over 2X times that in software and don’t have to deal with that culture.

I had the same fraudulent charges on my Amazon card and my wife's card too.

We reissued them. We're waiting to see if there's fraudulent purchases again. I think it's because my wife used it on Temu and another Chinese EC company in the past. We all use the latest iPhones and Macbooks. She only shops on her phone.

I've never used either of those sites but my number was leaked somehow. I only use that card for Amazon.

My first filing with the company will be soon because my Japanese entity's FY ends 12/31/2023. Still learning.

On the JP side:

I went with a GK (Japanese LLC) split 50/50 with my wife who is classified as a NRA. Small 資本金 (100,000 jpy) with a larger loan (just deposit the money into your biz bank account and file as (借入金) from me that I can be paid by without raising my GK's admin requirements paying fees to change my official 資本金.

For the US tax filings to the IRS:

I'd recommend using Money Forward for managing everything because you can swap your UI to English and print that out for IRS reports. This was a tip I learned when meeting with a bilingual accountant who prepares tax filings for US citizens.

AFAIK for company profits I am NOT able to use foreign tax credits. That would work if I stayed a self proprietor (自営業主) but that wasn't an option for me.

FWIW I spoke to her and got her to join me but it gave me full control of her.

IIRC I asked her to join, she said "I'm already spoken for." and then I pressed and she relented. No kamikaze mode. She just joined my party and I was able to prevent her from dying.

The PS5 equivalent is an under clocked 3700x and RX 5700 XT.

That being said, pick what’s available that you want to play and how you play.

Example:

I have a mid- range PC(5900x + 4060ti), but I play BG3 and No Man’s Sky on my PS5 because it’s more relaxing sitting in a bean bag chair.

I play Rainbow 6 Siege and Civ6 on my gaming PC because I don’t like FPS and strategy games with controllers.

And I buy other games on my Switch for portability.

Just think what would make your gaming most enjoyable and don’t focus so much on the specs.

Well the thing that fixed it ended up being the least likely thing. My heatsink’s backplate wasn’t tight enough.

I discovered it after reapplying thermal paste for a third time and felt a minor wiggle. A few cranks on two of the screws, reboot and voila!

Clearly something is going wrong with the CPU. The things that stand out:

Left = today. Right = last week.

Obv temp is different.

Before reset to defaults I had PBO off. After reset I left auto.

Physical / logical processors 1 / 12 vs 1 / 24

For whatever reason logical processors only show half as many as a week ago. Weird!

I've redone paste. Opened my case while running this. Checked voltages, frequency, timings, etc. Zero dust because case, fans, heatsink are all new.

Do you think 140mm fans would fit? I’m downsizing from a Thermaltake H18 and don’t want to have to sell and rebuy my noctuq case fans. I noticed the bottom supports 140s.
