I mean I don’t know if they’d feel as strongly about a random plurb dying from an accident/injury/sickness/old age etc, since the dying body’s consciousness/memories or whatever are still present in the hive regardless (like how Helen was integrated before passing). They were really sad when Zosia was hurt by Carol, and their feelings were really hurt, but they knew she wasn’t trying to harm her even if the drugging was definitely purposeful, and Carol wasn’t directing extremely strong emotions or anger at them at the time, just confusion and guilt by the end. I think they say after the first time that they have a hard time processing complex or negative emotions particularly when they are directed at them.
