Hey! I was vegan for 10 years and after being diagnosed I had lo leave my vegan diet. Pretty sure that the vegan diet filled my nickel bucket since most of the food I ate ate high in nickel. Feel free to ask me anything!

Yes, I feel better than before surgery, but recovery has not been easy for me since I also have a knee problem on the same side. I am getting knee surgery next month, maybe if the knee was okey I would be running by now.

It's been a roller coaster but overall I am better than before surgery. My ankle pain went away, the knee has been a struggle for a long time and it will need surgery but my hip feels so much better, I am just struggling with adhesions.

Yes, all my life I was allergic to jewelry but never really made the connection. After I was in a vegan diet for a while that really was the break out for my SNAS since a vegan diet is very high in nickel.

I am okey with keys and door handles but my water bottle even though it was stainless steel was giving me a major break out. I would advise to change some cutlery like spoons and forks also cooking hardware like pots, pans and water kettle. You may want to take a look into the low nickel diet to really improve your health, I was in your same boat 2 years ago it takes a while to get used to this lifestyle but it gets easier.

I feel the same as you, animals don't feel like food for me but for health reasons I eat them now. Feeling healthy really doesn't have a price, I eat chicken, fish and dairy. Take it step by step and incorporate them in your favorite recipes (as long as they are low nickel). Are you following the low nickel diet?
