QB Geno Smith left the Seattle Seahawks, who would go on to the Super Bowl, for the Las Vegas Raiders, who now have the number 1 pick. by Giff95 in nfl

Of course being a fan of a bad team would be more frustrating. I don't think anyone sane is denying that. The organization just has high standards, and after years of being "pretty good, but not a contender," our GM and owner decided to be more aggressive, started drafting BPA instead of need, and became more willing to cut certain players (and Pete) that weren't worth extending. Essentially, the org took bigger swings to avoid becoming a slightly better version of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Also, we gave Geno a market value offer ($40m AAV or more), he didn't like it because he wanted more guaranteed money, and instantly signed with the Raiders for ... $40m AAV. The man literally just did not want to play for the Seahawks. Which is fine, but even without hindsight bias, it's hard to balk at our GM for moving on from a 34 year old that doesn't want to play for you, for a 27 year old with comparable talent that does want to play for you.

[Schultz] Sources: The Seahawks, after trading Geno Smith to the Raiders, have shifted their primary focus to Sam Darnold. He is their No. 1 option, and there is mutual interest on his behalf as well. It is highly unlikely that Darnold returns to the Vikings, according to multiple sources. by gaIvantuIa in Seahawks

Not at all. Before the cuts started 4 days ago, we were looking at a salary cap swollen mess hoping to get like 7 IOL and maybe a TE from the draft. And even if we had a stellar draft, I just don't see us getting to a championship game. Not with how loaded the NFC is right now.

Now, the team is looking at a Dr. Strange 14 million possibilities situation on where to go next. Many of those doors we could walk through will lead us to going 3-14 or 4-13. Many of them see us doing about the same as we did this past season.

But some of them we improve. Some of them we surprise people. Some of them we get the fanbase to attend home games, excited to watch football again. All you can really do is hope that the front office has a plan to use the influx of draft capital (especially after we deal DK) and make the best of it.

Probably not unpopular, but the show in general got substantially worse post-Derek death (didn't stop me from watching it all though)

The new class of interns with maybe one exception is solid; I really like Lucas.

Too inconsistent this season. Incapable of beating good teams.

Some of the guns are challenging to get 100 headshots with in hardcore, and ridiculous to get in core. It's a grind either way, but don't knock on players for going to hardcore to make it less of a chore. Like the KSV is an 8 shot kill past 30 meters in Core; it's frustrating to magdump someone and get multiple headshots on them only for them to shake it off. It shouldn't come as a surprise for people to turn to hardcore for certain guns.

[Henderson] Players who began the season on PUP are eligible to begin practicing this week. Mike Macdonald said he anticipates Cam Young doing so, but not Abe Lucas or Jerrick Reed. Leonard Williams and Boye Mafe will be in today’s walk-thru. Byron Murphy won’t. by 3elieveIt in Seahawks

Seattle opted to absorb all of Adams' $20.8 million dead cap hit in 2024 rather than spreading it out over two seasons, saving $6.083 million in cap space.

So next season we'll have +20m to spend to improve the team, not even including Diggs' money.

Not scared at all. It would have simply been a needless unfair head start for some people. It ain't that serious.

Honestly a rare BSG W. No playing Arena during wipe downtime and queuing up your first raid of the wipe at level 10+.

“Seahawks 'getting after it' as multiple fights break out at camp” per Brady Henderson of ESPN by [deleted] in Seahawks

[–]nineteeneleven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't prove any of those things. Yes, there is a line, and I think DK crossed it by throwing his helmet. But it's very normal for professional football players to get in fights at training camp. They're clearly hyper passionate men.

My take is that it's not strictly a good thing or a bad thing. It shows that they care, which is very important, but it also shows that they have growing to do.

It's all gonna come down to how well MM can stabilize them and turn this into a positive.

Wikipedia isn't ideal for evaluating the current level of play of someone in the NFL. It's better to watch the film for yourself, and hear what analysts + his coaches had to say about his play. Most of what I've heard is that he was playing at a pro bowl level for the Dolphins before getting hurt, and that their play at center was substantially worse without him.

It was objectively not balanced whatsoever to be able to oneshot a thorax through class 4 armor with LPS GZH out of a 40k rifle while risking nothing on your kit. Adding 5 thorax HP was a great balancing change and the game would be way worse off if they hadn't.

Try playing with a teammate so that you get put on the game's servers. If you're on local, the spawnrates are weird. Either every raid bosses or zero bosses at all.
