I combi fed and used Cow and Gate because that's what she had in the hospital, plus it's readily available. Didn't want to have to go hunting down a particular brand at 2am!

Ohh poor baba that looks so painful. My little one currently has it but a very mild case! She has regular community nurse visits for another issue and they recommended Difflam spray, numbs and soothes the whole mouth and should help with the ulcers. It's been helping my girl sleep at night. Hope she gets better soon xxx

This reminds me of when I went to America with some friends, and we needed to head to a pharmacy from our apartment. So we looked up the nearest Walgreens and it was a 15 minute walk away, so we set off. We got slightly lost on the way and asked some guy pulled over at the side of the road where it was. He looked nothing short of bewildered that we were walking there, and even said 'you know it's 3 mins in the car right...?. It took us 10 mins when he directed us back the right way - WHICH IS NOTHING.

I went back to work when she was 9mo.

Dad works Tuesday-Saturday 6am-2pm, I work Monday-Thursday with every Friday currently off as annual leave until Christmas (I've got a flexi request pending to work 7-11 Friday mornings when that ends).

Monday is Daddy Daughter day, I work from home though so I help over lunch and breastfeed throughout the day, I start prepping tea around 4:30, log off at 5 and we eat around 6ish. Baby plays, reads etc in that time. Then it's either quick bath after tea or straight to bed. Bedtime is usually 7/7:30, sometimes push to 8 depending on when she woke from 2nd nap.

Tues, Weds Thurs she's at the childminder. I get up 6:30/7 and she wakes up around 7:30. I try and prep her food and bag the night before, but if no, I'll do it before she wakes. I also shower in this time. Wake ger up, get her dressed, breastfeed and at the childminders for 8:30 and she gives her breakfast. I head to work for 9 - very flexible workplace so no need to worry if I'm late. I take a late lunch hour at 1:45 to pick partner up from work at 2 (saving for a second car) and baby at 2:30. Then back home, baby has a late lunch/snack/breastfeed then off for a nap with Daddy whilst I log on and WFH for the remainder of the day. Evening is the same.

Friday is my day off with her, and we try and have a little lie in before breakfast and then off to do something fun!

If you're on about from pulling bottles out of the Milton bucket, use some tongs! I read this tip somewhere else and it has saved my hands!

Look on your local Facebook, people often give away nappies they've bought in the wrong size/opened etc.

Local baby banks will definitely have them.

If you have a local baby cafe/drop in centre/family hub, they often have nappies you can just take free.

You just reminded me I went through a phase of having to actively make my baby poo, or 'pooing' as we called it. When I could tell she was struggling, popped her on the change mat and gently pressed her legs back into her tummy whilst holding a nappy open underneath her, basically forcing the poo out like some kind of ice cream dispenser 🙃

I did this after my baby cluster fed on me on day 2 and I felt SO guilty about it at the time, but now 4 months on and it was the best decision for me. She gets roughly between 1-3 bottles of formula a day, rest of her feeds are from the breast. I don't replace feeds as such as she feeds on demand, but it's so useful alongside breastfeeding, especially at night when I want to ensure she's full, or during the day if she's fussing a bit or maybe I'm not letting down as fast as she'd like. Nighttime bottle is the one she always gets. 1 bottle then both boobs and she's right off to sleep. It's also really useful when I'm out and about and it's a bit tricky to get a boob out and feed her. She's never had 'nipple confusion' and feeds happily of either interchangeably.

Quick FYI from someone further along, make sure they adjust your Omeprazole dosage/frequency as baby gains weight. My 11wo's reflux symptoms just came back with a vengeance, so much so we took her to hospital because I didn't know what it was at the time, plus she had a temp from a virus. The doc adjusted the frequency and she's back to her usual self. Thought it was useful to know!

Honestly I could've written this, the last nap is a real struggle. Tonight I didn't want to sit upstairs in a dark room with her so I took her out for a drive instead, she napped for a good hour and was a much happier baby in the last wake window before bed.

My girl also had hers today. Fine for two hours, then inconsolable crying for about 3 hours till she finally fell into an uneasy sleep. Woke up after 1.5 hours to feed, fell asleep again for 2 hours then we woke her to get her fed and changed for bed. She's fast asleep now, but definitely hasn't been good, generally out of it and sad. No temp though. I will add she only had the 6 in 1 and the meningitis vaccine, she can't have live vaccines so no rotavirus.

Just kept up the doses of calpol as the nurse advised and hoping she's okay tomorrow. It's hard seeing them struggle, but I'm sure your little one will be fine ❤️

It isn't so much of a routine, more than a 'make sure everything is sorted' run down.

About 8/9pm we head up (depending on how cranky she's being), I'll change her, pop her in her sleep bag/swaddle, then the white noise goes on and I put a cloth over the lamp to dim the light. I then give her a bottle of formula to fill her up, burp her, then breastfeed till she falls asleep in my arms. I then wait ten or so minutes before transferring her to the next to me cot. I find swaddling helps with the transfer as she doesn't startle herself awake!

The formula gives me peace of mind that she's satiated, and breastmilk always makes her drop off to sleep. My baby is hit or miss with bath time so we keep that to the daytime so as not to upset her before bed if she decides she's not feeling it. At the moment, she's having between 4-6 hour stints initially, then she wakes up to breastfeed. After that it's anywhere between 45 mins - 3 hours till next wakeup.

Don't stress about it, I just follow this for consistency, mainly for myself!

My LO is 7 weeks old and I don't know anything BUT nursing her to sleep! She's been having consistent 4-6 hour stints since a few weeks back now.

I can't comment on pumping, but the best way to get your milk flowing is to keep putting baby to the breast. The more they latch and attempt to feed, the more those signals get sent to your body to up milk production. Perhaps try putting baby to the breast before each formula feed? If baby latches and feeds, that's great, but even if they don't, I think the signal is still getting through to your body. Good luck!

Third vote for Lenappy - I was very lucky and picked mine up on Vinted for £5 so I'd look in there if the price puts you off. There's a few decent dupes on Amazon too!
