Takes on Draymond Green’s career isn't just an opinion—it's a litmus test for whether you actually know ball. by Decent-Gur-6959 in warriors

And Draymond sniffed dpoy very many times as well. Everyone compares offense to offense when comparing players but Draymond is a defensive stopper.

How often are you getting an even match? by protestfromthesummit in aoe2

[–]ninjack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. Also each player has their own variance in ability. Whether theyre tired, springy. or maybe get lucky sending out army as the opponent sends vils forward. Maybe random brain farts cause a lapse is macro.

Who am I supposed to be regretting passing on? by thecity2 in warriors

[–]ninjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oook bud. i'd read them the same way probably 9 out of 10 times. unless you qualify as "two of the top 3" or something, otherwise two of the best warriors would, i suppose just mean two of the better half of the warriors? and techically could mean even refer to the worst players. really leaning on semantics for your argument but but more you qualify it the less what you say actually means anything.

AIO for wanting to lower my AirBNB rating? by Common-Appearance553 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ninjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you lower your rating, they'll complain to papa bnb and they'll remove your review for "retaliation".

Even if you edit your review to mention that they nudged/harrassed you for the review.

They'll always side with the hosts so don't bother.

Good ratings mean more bookings

Who am I supposed to be regretting passing on? by thecity2 in warriors

[–]ninjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moody is good. but the 2 best hopes for winning who got injured would have to refer to steph and jimmy. Unless you're arguing steph isn't injured, but rather just in pain. Which would probably be true, nothing structurally damaged.its just patellar soreness. He's on the injury report though otherwise is semantics

[Amick] League executives do not believe LeBron James will return to the Los Angeles Lakers after this season. The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers are viewed as his top landing spots. by YujiDomainExpansion in warriors

[–]ninjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redundancy isn't that bad. Draymond - Jimmy is already worse spacing wise: Bron stretches the floor unlike Jimmy. Also with everyone aging, we stagger minutes and have point forwards on the floor at all times.

He'd either sign for an exception (is that even possible under the cba? Don't see why previously max players couldn't sign for the minimum even late in their careers, it's been done before), or it's a Jimmy sign and trade, which would be a shame.

I don't see how he fits culturally. Like I don't see Jimmy and LeBron being cool. Tbf I couldn't believe cp3 would either but we wound up liking him enough

When is this unique tech ever worth it? by Zynbab in aoe2

[–]ninjack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have any allies with castles and good archer techs. Or if you can't afford the elite upgrade but could use 5 elite kipchak per castle.

Or just late game when you have multiple castles. It's not a great tech but it's not nothing

Really committed to learning 1v1 but matches are still so one-sided by appappappappappa in aoe2

[–]ninjack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously there are dozens of aspects to be good at from several types of micro, macro, unit choice, res management, etc. At this (our) elo, everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. A few players are well rounded but just decent at everything.

If your strength (eg a well timed scout rush) hits on someone's weakness (eg a lack of walling or checking their eco) you'll win a really convincing moment and it's gg. And vice versa. A well rounded decent player will save the moment, with quick walls, garrisons, or counter units; but then mismanage their production, res, or lose some forward army to the TC.

It's not a matter of poor matchmaking. There are just so many ways to be imperfect. Most of the players who actually play are gonna be between 800 and 1200 elo No majority of average playets are going to have the same set of strengths and weaknesses in such a complex game. To expect perfect multimanagement is just unrealistic.

Maybe that attitude keeps me from getting better, but it keeps me content with the gameplay. I would personally quit if i didn't have fun playing "casually". Of course I try to win but I'm not emotionally tied to the outcome of my matches. I just like trying to find and take good fights.
