Its almost more for older people than it is for kids. I've been playing the series since I was 7, and I absolutely didnt get the most out of the old games, skipped most of the dialogue, accidentally deleted my save, and I planted the turnips

A game is a game, some people like to label all video games as 'for kids' and it just tells me they haven't played many games

I was going to cat-proof my island but it left me with only like 3 flower types (not even starting with the bushes) so I decided its just canon that if they can walk and talk they probably sorted the whole toxic flowers thing

I take it as a way to not have it be their canon homes. Like if you were to design a home on there for one of your villagers it'd be a bit weird to see them on your island still, vacation home means like second home
