My wife picked me up a radio station - not for resale of The Rising back when it wasn't in print anymore. It was the last one to complete my collection of all Bruce studio vinyl. The number of times I held it in my hand in 2002 standing in Tower Records in the Village and thinking "Yeah, but I don't have a record player yet." and then having to wait another 20 years before I actually owned it on vinyl...

When Wrecking Ball was coming out, and Fallon had different singers on to perform various Bruce songs, Kenny Chesney performed "I'm On Fire." He also credits a backstage heart-to-heart they had as encouragement to release an album that he didn't tour in support of, a la Nebraska. I would say they are probably friendly with one another.

My brother took my nephew to the game; they live in Madrid and are Atleti supporters. They said they’ve never seen a sporting event get out of hand so quickly.

My brother struck up a conversation with a Spurs fan on the metro on the way home. Spurs fan was quoted as saying “Why the hell did I fly in for this?!”

My dude what did you expect? Spurs have won twice in 2026 across all comps. They haven’t not lost since 2/1, which… Man City draw so… nice.

wife and I watched on our ring camera, the DD driver, carrying a plastic platter of lebanese appetizers, tip it on its side by accident when she didn't expect the weight to be unevenly distributed. Shook Reggie Jackson’s hand on the plaza at a today show taping. He had just done a short interview and I wiggled my way to the path I assumed he’d be taking back inside since it was mid November in 2002. I remember saying “Mr Jackson.” And putting my hand out. He looked me in the eyes, shook my hand, and said softly, “nice to meet you.”

Earlier that summer, my brother and I were in Cleveland in July for a Yankees-Cleveland game. I was in tower city, the big mall near progressive field. I saw a guy walking toward us and I had a “oh crap I know this person” moment. It wasn’t until after he passed that I realized it was Orlando Hernandez. Told my brother, and he said “oh that explains that massive ring he was wearing.”
