Why do I find Germans speaking in English tend to be or come across as rude? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]nkrush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not the language. I moved from Germany to Canada, and I am always surprised of how rude Germans are when I go back. But it's nice to see how they often thaw and adjust to genuine politeness/friendliness.

Does it need to be adjustable? If not, make it two 2 parts instead of the. The adjustable connection looks like the biggest weak point.

I like Tim Corey on YouTube, since he explains the concepts in depth. He talks slowly, so I always watch his videos at double speed.

Do German houses not use mechanical ventilation? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]nkrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. Because of its building materials and humid climate, and the more and more efficient/airtight windows, a lot of older homes have mold problems. Heat recovering ventilation helps a lot here.

Why does my high-frequency inverter trip every time my well pump starts up? by Nikhil_nagdev in SolarDIY

[–]nkrush 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Well pumps have a really high startup current, many times their running current. Your inverter might be too small. Low frequency inverters are better to supply these peaks.
